Hey, the IAF chief is not really meaning what he is saying, he is just provoking the DRDO people to do more. This is like "Kicking the DRDO butt$ with out kicking and making them do what he wants.
For both the Indian members who are defending his statement and for the Pakistani members who are rediculing this statement. You guys are pathetic when it comes to understanding diplomatic hidden sence in a statement.

That is impossible. DRDO, HAL, ADA, NAL etc are all just what they are: sarkari dodos. They work with the same spirit, encouragement and enthusiasm that a Indian Post Office works. No difference.

What do you expect when:

- Shoestring budgets are approved while lion's share is eaten by UPA's politicians.
- Salaries of top scientists rivals that of a senior BPO agent.
- Infrastructure is so antique that setting new ones up takes eons enough to make the planned tech obsolete.
- Every goddamn part needs the approval of a 100 different scumbag ministers.
- Quota based jerkweeds are taken to assist few star scientists with a 100% guaranteed lifelong stay.

THIS.. my friend is what happens. Corporatize, privatize and rationalize it. Let the industrial big wigs acquire these scientists and labs and existing defense manufacturing. And in next 10 years, MCA will become a reality with the SAME scientists and engineers working on them.
