We know the value of our Human Resource. Our overseas Pakistanis are a good example of our human resource. They send $ 15 Billion a year to Pakistan.

Our challenge is to EDUCATE and TRAIN and DEVELOP our Human Resource to the optimum and turn this liability into an ASSET.

and uncontrolled population growth is eating up our agricultural resources and agri land is being used for living. If this continues for next 20 years people will start eating people.

There is a reason they implemented it brutally.

They got it right.
India is facing the same problem. We are already 1.21 billion and growing. By the time we stabilize, population would be largest in the world. With less jobs - it wont be a pretty place to live.

Frankly, I dont care much about the world as the most base criteria of a country is its food sufficiency.
If we can meet our own food demands, everything else is a luxury.

And on that note, India's population was earlier projected to stabilize around 2020-25.
Now it is expected to do so around 2035-40.

I believe the Chinese achieved this feat 2005.

We would be the most populous nation on the planet. A rapid decrease in population or an increase in aging population is still better than having hundreds of millions of youth unemployed. All is not hunky dory.
