গারো পাহাড়ের হাতছানি

গনগনে গরম পড়ার আগেই ঘুরে আসতে পারেন মেঘালয়-ঘেঁষা গারো পাহাড়ে। ছুটি পাওয়ায় গিয়েছিলাম।
ঢাকা থেকে সকাল আটটায় মাইক্রোবাসে যাত্রা শুরু। ময়মনসিংহ-শেরপুর হয়ে বিকেল তিনটার দিকে পৌঁছালাম জামালপুর জেলার সীমান্তবর্তী লাউচাপাড়া পর্যটন কেন্দ্রে। পথের ধকল কাটিয়ে নিতে এবার একটু বিশ্রাম চাই। তারপরই বেরিয়ে পড়া। চারপাশে ঘন সবুজ। পাহাড়গুলো গাছে ঢাকা। আছে জেলা পরিষদের তৈরি করা পর্যবেক্ষণ টাওয়ার। ওপরে দাঁড়ালে চোখে পড়ে পাহাড়ের ফাঁকে চিকন সিঁথির মতো রাস্তা। সেই টাওয়ারে দাঁড়িয়ে পেছনে পাহাড় রেখে ছবি তোলার হিড়িক বেড়াতে আসা সবার মধ্যে। মনেই থাকল না পথের ক্লান্তি।
পরদিন সুনসান ভোরে ঘুম ভাঙাল পাখিরা। শহুরে কর্কশ অ্যালার্মে অভ্যস্ত কানে দারুণ মধুর এই আওয়াজ। আশপাশে বোধহয় জাগেনি কেউ তখনো, ক্যামেরা হাতে বেরিয়ে পড়লাম একাই। পাহাড়ি বাতাসে নাম না-জানা ফুলের গন্ধ। রূপেও কম যায় না তারা। সকালে যারা ঘুম ভাঙিয়েছিল, সেইসব পাখিও চোখে পড়ল।

একটু ঘুরেফিরে এসে নাশতাপর্ব সেরে আবার রওনা হলাম। এবার বাহন গাড়ি। ১৫ মিনিটেই পৌঁছে গেলাম মুক্তিযুদ্ধের বিখ্যাত রণক্ষেত্র কামালপুরে। সুন্দর একটি স্মৃতিসৌধ নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে এখানে। দুপুর পর্যন্ত এখানইে কাটল আমাদের। পরে আবার লাউচাপড়ায় ফেরা। এবার সূর্যাস্ত দেখার পালা পর্যবেক্ষণ। সে দৃশ্যও মনে থাকবে অনেক দিন।
পরদিন সকালে আরেক গন্তব্য আমাদের। পাহাড়ি পথে ঝিনাইগাতি হয়ে শেরপুরের বিখ্যাত পিকনিক স্পট গজনী অভিমুখে। ঝিনাইগাতির জঙ্গলে হাতি নামে। সাবধানবাণী রয়েছে জঙ্গলে বিভিন্ন ফলকে। আমরা অবশ্য দেখা পাইনি হাতির। দুপুর পর্যন্ত এখানে কাটিয়ে এবার ঢাকার মুখে চলা।

যেভাবে যাবেন:
ঢাকা থেকে সরাসরি বাসে শেরপুর, তারপর বাস পরিবর্তন করে শ্রীবর্দী এবং সেখান থেকে রিকশা বা স্কুটারে লাউচাপাড়া যাওয়া যায়। আবার জামালপুর থেকে বকশীগঞ্জ হয়েও যাওয়া যায়। জেলা পরিষদ ও বেসরকারি ব্যবস্থাপনায় বিশ্রাম নেওয়ার ও থাকার পর্যাপ্ত ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে সেখানে।

there are already so many economic and other internal politics related useless thread in this section... i hope MODS will allow this thread to run... Aim of this thread is to show forum members of other nations the beautiful side of our nation..... Most of them thinks Bangladesh is land of flood, Miskins and poverty! hope this thread will show them the brighter side of my country....no artificial buildings or shopping complex please... But post photos of nature, people and their life......

Awesome!! Have been to Sunderbans but in the western part till BD border.It's amazing!! But heard that the Eastern part is more dense.
