I don't want to overload this thread. Even a thumbnail sketch of their history would take at least a few paragraphs.
If you guys are good with me posting it here or on a new specific thread let me know and give me a couple of hours.

It's interesting, keep going bro, I'm reading..
Good to hear something out of Asia, maybe not the right subsection but by all means. Keep the discussion between us.

One of the best decision by this govt.As far as I detest this govt.s for it's autocratic tendency, heavy handed approach to the opposition, assault on free speech and too accommodating approach to India, but I must admit, they have done really some good things which will help our economy in a long run, no one can deny the tremendous improvement in electricity sector in recent years and the govt. decision to import LNG, building up 100 EEZ and creating land bank of 100k acres, setting up IT and Electronics villages, positive policy making regarding Leather, Pharmaceuticals, motor cycle, RMGs etc. Their decision of constructing subway and not allowing any farther overland metrorail in Dhaka city is also a wise decision. This govt. is also has a vision to build a strong armed forces step by step unlike BNP. I hope if BNP comes power in the next election, it will continue these good policy.(I am not much optimistic whether BNP will do that, they have records to not adding a single MW electricity in their most recent 5 years term and they decommissioned our most capable Frigate and only 4th generation fighter jet, just because it was purchased by AL:frown: BNP can't do any good thing but have 100 percent jealousy to destroy the good deed of their opposing party.)

My words exactly, BNP has lost its good leadership and more importantly, lost its way permanently as a trusted safekeeper of the people's will and hope in Bangladesh. When a party loses its senior intelligentsia, it devolves into Goonda and thug leadership, which is mostly limited to occasional opportunistic press ramblings connected to AL fuckups or pointless complaints about AL cowtowing to Modi leadership. They have no direction, nor any succinct vision about the strategy meaning where they want to take Bangladesh once elected.

It becomes more and more clear is that BNP's getting to 'Gaddi' is only to shore-up personal 'akher' situation for their leaders and nothing more - not that it will happen anytime soon.

A thumbnail of cultural imperatives for their tendencies-couldn't make it too long.

@kenyannoobie please move your posts about Hutus and Tutsis to another thread. This is tantamount to hijacking a thread which is against forum rules.

@Dubious - I will appreciate very much if you can please help this brother move off-topic posts out of this thread.

I think he was just sharing a link and now that it has been shared...I shall remove the post.

2041 is too long. I better see future Bangladeshi through 10 years period. In 2030, if the growth is maintained in 7 % pace so Bangladesh GDP will reach 700 billion USD. At least Bangladesh defense budget will be 9 billion USD with that economic scale. The budget will allow Bangladesh to start procuring 5 gen fighters.
