1. Enrollment in primary education
2. Enrollment in secondary Education
3. Sex ratio at birth
4. Female head of the state.

The Bright sides are primary and secondary education enrollmen. Here we are doing great job, that will push our society as a whole at least at medium or long term.

The hind side is enrollment in tertiary educatio.
We have to sort that out asap.

People who put down their women and relegate them to indentured status (whether through religious excuses or not), especially to feel good about themselves, are the insecure ones. These are (irrespective of the countries they reside in) backward and cannot be helped. They are falling behind in the ranks of civilized nations.

History has already left them behind and will continue to do so.

Women can play symbiotic and equally important roles in society and in industry itself, as they are already doing in Bangladesh. They can sew clothes, even if they cannot usually assign themselves to jobs like welding, in shipbuilding applications or in heavy construction. Both types of industrial jobs can and do bring in income. In some sectors, the roles will be the same. Yes women are employable and there is no shame in them being wage-earners.

It is women who bear and groom the next generation, and obviously - both genders.

Unless you educate and elevate your women (through independent earning of wages) - your next generation are terminally doomed in both education and, eventually, technology. Not to mention being a ticking human time-bomb. Your fate as a nation is sealed. End of story.

What is amazing to me is that these uneducated folks are PROUD and DEFIANT of their uneducated backward status and take pride in having a woman relegated to second class status.
