BD Ranked 1st as UN Peacekeeper

South Asians are generally calm and disciplined people, quite well behaved.

I was in Hajj a few months back and South Asians (Bengalis, Pakistanis, Indians) were the best behaved Hujjaj (plural of Hajji) while Turks, Iranians, Indonesians, Africans are quite bad and can be aggressive.

I will agree with you if UN showed preference for south asians, not sure if that is the case. I did not ask whether south asians are better peacekeepers than others( its debatable, but I disagree) but why more of them are sent by their govts.
In my personal interaction, I found chinese and east asians in general to be more calm and disciplined people than south asians, but thats offtopic.

@hinduguy mate, since many think i m trolling or i m biased, i would like to make my point to you:

First, I never said anything about BD, i was saying for complete SA region.

Second, some facts are really interesting to note here:

These are the top-5 contributers of the UNPF budget:

United States (27.14%)
Japan (12.53%)
United Kingdom (8.15%)
Germany (8.02%)
France (7.55%)

Financing peacekeeping. United Nations Peacekeeping

while, EU contribute only 4.5% in soldiers & US contributes only 1% of entire UNPF strength.

The top troop contributing nations to UNPF are:

Bangladesh (10,498), Pakistan (9,333), India (8,093), Nigeria (5,662), Ethiopia (5,233), Nepal (4,454), Egypt (4,116), Jordan (4,008), Rwanda (3,670), Ghana (2,995).

top 3 nations are from SA.

+ You do know that UNPF's operations are conducted on the orders of UNSC which consists of 15 nations but in a way all decisions are made by P-5s.

So my point was pretty clear, by sending our troops to UNPF, we are in a way acting as a paid armies of the western countries, they just have to give money & the soldiers who fight the wars are from SA countries, I ask you, is it any different from what SA people used to do during British Raj, taking money from Crown & fighting it's wars??? As Peacekeeping doesn't necessarily mean that you just have to maintain law & order, there are many times active combats also.

What are you talking about idiot?

You constantly troll and ruin every Bangladeshi thread with your obsession with Bangladesh and yet again come to this thread to spoil it.

What is your problem with Bangladesh?

Why do you hate Bangladesh so much?

Why do you troll on every Bangladeshi thread every day?

We do not fight any wars but "keep" the peace hence the term "peacekeepers", in places where fighting has already stopped and there is a peace to "keep".

I am now going to start reporting every post of yours on the Bangladesh sub-forum where you derail threads, troll and sabotage discussion. I am also going to make a list of all your thread-derailment posts.

You wanna ruin free troll fun that we Bangladeshi here enjoy without any pay   !!

Congratulations to Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt and all other contributing nations :enjoy:

Even if we are being treated like mercanaries, atleast we are helping to bring peace to the world?

What are you talking mate?? War is no fun business to take experience of. Yes, every nation should remain prepared for emergency by constant training or conducting war games with other nations but my point was that in the form of UNPF, SA nations' armies are acting like Paid Soldiers of West to fight there wars.

SAs fought the WW2 for them......SAs fought the Gulf war with them.......SA's fought against the Soviets in Afghanistan for them........SAs fought in the Gulf War for them..........SAs are fighting the war against terror for them........Until our economies and peoples lives are better than theirs we will have to fight their wars!

True when we will stop fighting other's wars?

why not other big countries sending their troops?

UN peacekeeping = Rich nations gives the money, poorer nations gives the blood.

Poorer nation are mainly for money. Almost all the south asian army is just there for money.
But they would say it for earning national pride, foreign currency etc. Almost pure BS. Just for the carrots.

Maybe according to your logic. But did you ever think about the honor of a cause? Maybe you wouldn't know about it. But ask the men in uniform if they care two shyts about financial rewards. They are following orders and they are there to die if necessary for a peaceful and honorable cause and mission.

They are there and you are sitting in a chair posting on this forum. Clearly you are different an have different priorities.
