This nation has a history of uprooting users. We have drowned invaders in our marshes. This nation is far far larger than BAL or SHW. Nope, nobody is going to make us a vassal.
@ Now, I disagree with you
@asad71.
This nation has a history of uprooting users.
Will you please explain to whom we have uprooted (users) ?
We have drowned invaders in our marshes.
To whom you are talking ? Isa Khan's "Hit & Run" policy. What was the the end result ?
@ We have no tradition as a fighting force as a combined force. Historically and traditionally we(Bengali Nationalism) were never never united. Bengali Nationalism came on that day after the Partition of Bengal in 1905 once agitation was launched for its annulment by the Hindu intellectuals.
@ We as a Bengali or Bangladeshi Nationalism were never united together. Let me tell you a little bit.
1. Once Khilji invaded Bengal (Nadia) it was a"Walk over". Whole nation remained silent.
2. After him many Sultans and Kings came to Power but most of them were foreigners, of course Muslims.Some times, Afgans, Turks, Syeds (Arabs), Habshis (Abyssinian) etc. All these Sultans/Kings very frequently revolted against Delhi Sultanates and remained independent for a limited period of time.
3. On scrutiny it was found that most of the soldiers/worriers were Afghans, Turks, Persians, Arabs, Yemenis , Abyssinian etc. Hardly any local people were recruited in Defense or in Military forces. However, slowly and gradually these foreigners and convertee Muslims became majority.
4. Finally once East India came and invaded Bengal in Battle of Palassy in 1757, bulk of the people remained silent so English people had a clean walk over. And hence Hindu domination started.
5. During the East India Rule some revolt took place like Fakir Maznu Shah in greater Rangpur, Dinajpur and Bogra Districts. He and his followers fought bravely and finally died but the people in other districts remained cooled. Movement of Basherkella by Titu Mir remained localized in Faridpur and Bakerganj Districts. If you wish, I can continue till today.
