Look at it this way. The army never trusted the Awami League. Given the history of the relationship between army and the AL coupled with the current state of affairs (especially after the Pilkhana tragedy), that'll not change anytime soon.

Proof? Look at the military spending during any AL administration. Relative to BNP, it has always been the AL that spends more on military. This is done to keep the military happy. And there are still more toys to come (that is for certain).

Would the military be willing to actually allow foreign elements into their organization? I mean look, we have recently procured some HM-90s from China (likely more to come), and there will be upcoming F-22B frigates (again from China).

Do you think that the trust between the Bangladesh military and China would be violated? Of-course Indians would want to access Chinese technology by nefarious means, but would the Bangladesh military allow that? I doubt it since the Chinese would still be willing to supply us with hi-tech military equipment.

The Bangladesh military is a separate organization, and a big stake holder in the politics of Bangladesh. A state within a state. I know in theory it doesn't sound right, but in Bangladesh, it is that way for good reasons.

As far the OP goes, we can't exactly authenticate it. I mean, it's a freakin blog run by some guy living in the US for crying out loud!

There are some military officers who get into trouble for a variety of reasons. And yes, there is politics there, but not to an extent that it'd allow foreign elements to infiltrate it such that it compromises national security.

For example, I knew one Colonel who was sacked for some reason during the BNP days with no pension. Saddened and angered, he joined AL and did politics. He was dirt poor, and had a limited diet. Now, he is a millionaire. Has a dozen cars, each of his kids have houses in the UK, sacrificed nine cows during Kurbani and the guy has serious security issues (always a bodyguard following him around).

My point is, even if this Maj. Zia is in trouble, it could be anything. A lot of variables play into account here. Nothing proves that the military is being infiltrated by a bunch of wackjobs.

Sure, the Awami League is a retarded puppy always hiding behind India, but that has never happened to the military

The things claimed by this blogger is not even proof that foreign elements are infiltrating the military.

AL has a history of ditrusting the army, thus they buy them goodies to keep them happy. Bangladesh army is devided into 2 categories, BNP and AL, the al generals seem to like India a bit more, even then BD army has always a bit more pro BNP.

Anonymus has a better and educated mind comparing to yourself. He has good arguments, why RAW needs an interpreter when a RAW agaent can also be a Bangla speaker? he also asked how on earth a Major ca run away from the clutches of RAW? He then asked was it by a divine power? What is wrong with his questions? Now, answer all these and also answer why a Major has to be taken from a Bus-stand and not from his working place or from his house?

If this man is real, then he must himself is an anti=BD man who sold information to a foreign country. Now, after being exposed, he is complaing about RAW. If he is unreal, his letter has no value.

Do you guys know anything about the military structure of BD? How this organization works or how each and every personnel is doctrinated with Islamic values as a warrior? Do you kinow how theoath-taking takes place? Do you know all of them are bound to die under an oath taken during their training? Do you really aware of what procedure is taken during oath taking? You would not have come with your rumours if you knew all these things.

Say anything about AL, but do not spread rumours against our army, its officers and jawans, because you have no insider knowledge about this dreadful organization, and how eagerly they will die in a war. Remember, it is not machine that fights the enemy. It is the man behind the machine that fights the enemy.

Our military is not a simpleton like you. But, I remember all the gossips you have spread in this forum to criticize General Moeen, who, in a sense, saved the country. He also faced a Burmese invasion in the sea. But a characterless person like you come here to criticize all his good deeds. You do not like anything good in Bangladesh. Yet, you claim to be a Bangladeshi. Even a hero is not a hero to you if he is a Bangladeshi. It is very sad.

There will always be people like me who would try to safeguard the country from any Indian agression and Jamaati conspiracy. Both are enemies of Bangladesh.

What would RAW do to destroy a force like BDR? Kill 53 of its officers, right? That includes major, colonel. So why would not they torture officers like major who are not following their line or dissenting awami action on army?

BNP also did a lot of back hand deals with India, its just BNP deals are not that publicised. Whether we like it or not, India controls or will control the south asian subcontinent. India plays a major part on who gets elected in our goverment.
