BBC Stream: Padma Bridge free benefits to Indian traders, why it was built in the first place

You do know what so called "white man" did, right?

Basically they starved Bengalis for a war that had nothing to do with Bengalis people.

It was a bengali genocide. Churchill hated "dark skinned" people. That included all of British time Indians but especially included Bengalis.

Be careful of hailing "white man".
Hailing 'white man' is you Indians do every day

Not really and not like you are doing. You are hailing Britishers of colonial time, those who starved and genocide and killed your people.

I don't as much care but just wanted to make sure you know whom you are hailing.

Besides, regionally, Maharashtra did not suffer as much as Bengal did during colonial time. They destroyed your industry which made you rich : Dhaka was world famous in cotton fabric. They genocide you people and crushed any protests time and again. Maharashtra while did suffer during colonial time, it got little less raw deal as you did.

Yet we didn't gave a damn about the threat of sanctions whether it was about testing nukes or buying Russian crude

Meanwhile your entire industry depends on the charity (GSP quota) of the 'white men'.

Cry harder.

Your assessment is correct but conclusion is not.

The only way Bangladesh can keep US, Russia, China and India at equidistance - is if BD is useful to all of them.

Otherwise they are powerful enough to wreak havoc with Bangladesh’s economy.

Bangladesh will not be in a position to really assert itself until it’s GDP reaches a trillion dollars.

The only one that can really harm BD economy now is US and to a lesser extent China.

India cannot do much apart from slow growth in BD but India itself will be cutting off it's 4th largest export market which could grow to 3rd largest by 2030.

In essence by 2030 BD and India could both damage each other in a similar way and come to some kind of "balance of power" situation.

BD economy will touch 1 trillion US dollars by 2030 and so it is less than 1 decade away.

Cry for what? Indians are beyond dumb.

In return India stops any possibility of Bangladesh importing electricity from Nepal or Bhutan and Indian navy randomly sinking Bangladeshi or Bangladesh bound ships and boats. Also India denying any aircraft inbound or outbound from Bangladesh from its territory. Fun, it will be, right?
90% of the civilian air traffic to your NE airports passes through Bangladesh. Fun it will be for sure.

We don't need your electricity or that from Nepal. Those are just gravy - "nice to have" items.

Your landlocked NE is dependent on our data bandwidth too.

Sinking civilian cargo ships is considered an act of war. You have the budget to deal with the consequences?

Try it and see sometime.

You got nuthin' man....stop blowing hot air......faaltu talk.

Sing, dance and make merry, you finally have... a bridge!!!

Hero Alom is your auqaat.

Same taste and same crass culture.

Bhojpuri style.

Marathis were perfect brown-noser sycophants for the British. Why would the Brits complain? Enough said.

NE is a very small part of India, unlike Bangladesh which is covered by India almost from all side. But then map is not something Bangladeshi look at, right? :omghaha:

Really?

The cross-border electricity import from India has increased almost fourfold in the eight years since the electricity import from the neighboring country began in 2013–14.

In 2020-21, Bangladesh imported 8,103gWh electricity, up from 2,256 gWh in the first year of import.

Over the years, the share of import in the overall electricity generation has doubled, with the import in the past fiscal year accounting for 10 per cent of the overall generation.

The import is set to increase by 138 per cent to 2,760 MW in the next years and the government is planning to increase it by another 226 per cent for meeting a 15 per cent of its demand for 60,000 MW by 2041.

Remember, you want to be a manufacturing hub... power outages are not exactly great for that.

Your NE is dependent on our data bandwidth too.
Thats it? Just data bandwidth?

Sure! What can Bangladesh bring to challenge Indian navy?

You really, really want to go to war with India with that pathetic brown water fleet of yours?

Leave IN, even a couple of coastal Brahmos batteries in West Bengal would be more than enough to blockade that shallow swamp port of yours.

crass culture.

Which apparently is the culture of Bangladesh. Can't expect better from the pole-vaulting lot.

90% of the civilian air traffic to your NE airports passes through Bangladesh.

100% of your slave-labour flights to the Middle East passes through Indian airspace. It'll be fun for sure.

lol
Don’t you have your hands full with China and Pakistan already?
Turn BD into your enemy and your only gonna dig your own grave.
And for your question about what BD can bring to challenge, what will you do if BD cuts off north east india from you? Indian can’t do shit to BD because you guys will do what you did in 71 to Pakistan, to your selves. You can’t fight multiple countries at once.
