not going to happen in next 20 years.

I can give you tons of links to say othewise ,haha,i take those experts from different organizations or sources reached this same conclusion must have more knowlege or sources to do the comparison than you do,right?haha

.
There is no point to question the quality issue. All the published papers are peer reviewed.

Plus How can you compare two papers published in different areas?

. .
China alreasy overtook US in many factors ,manufaturing capacity, car production,PC market,IT products,shipbuilding...the list goes on,in the future ,the world would be used to those overtaking.

.
two mile stone overtaking is in manufacturing .

Ending a 110-year run for America as the world's dominant producer, China has overtaken the United States as the world's largest manufacturer. According to economics research firm IHS Global Insight, China manufactured 19.9% of the world's goods in 2010, while the U.S. accounted for 19.4%."

and this year China overtook US as EU's largest trade partner.US key ally,it will have a huge impact in the years to come.

---------- Post added at 11:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:32 PM ----------

and now international economists put China's overall GDP overtaking of US,the year 2016.

.
Wasn't BBC considered as a western propaganda and deceitful source on this forum?

.
May be China could overtake US in the number of Scientific papers published, but I doubt whether it could over take US in the quality of scientific papers published. US, even now, remains the best destination for the best brains around the world. Look at their University system and their endowments. Harvard University alone has a annual budget of $26 Billion. A figure that is almost equal to GDP's of some African countries. Simply phenomenal.

Not gonna happen :no::no:  nobody other than the chinese and to some extent the average Pakistani joe gives a damn about China's so called inventions.

Pew poll:China beats US as World Superpower
Sunday Sep 18
Results of a latest poll conducted by Pew Research Center released on July 13, 2011 did not bring good news for Obama administration.

Obama administration’s image amongst most of countries in African, Middle East, South America and Asia has already reached the lowest point in American history due to its wars for greed and blind support for Israel. Now the Pew poll has sprinklered more salt on the Washington’s wounded ego.

According to the survey, 15 of 22 nations surveyed, the balance of opinion is that China either will replace or already has replaced the United States as the world’s leading superpower. This view is especially widespread in Western Europe, where at least six-in-ten in France (72%), Spain (67%), Britain (65%) and Germany (61%) see China overtaking the US. Over 27,000 people took part in the survey.

The countries which were covered by the survey included the US, Mexico, Brazil, Kenya, Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Gaza and West Bank, Turkey, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, and Pakistan.

“Concerns about American power in the last decade have been supplanted by the view that American vitality is on the wane,” Kohut, president of the Pew Research Center, wrote in an op-ed published by the Wall Street Journal.

The US-based survey has some good news for Zionist mafia. It says that with exception of Pakistan, Indonesia and Russia – previously held favourable views about Islamic Republic have fallen. It stated that Iran’s popularity is waning among its neighboring countries –“significant majorities in Turkey (62 percent), Jordan (72 percent), Egypt (75 percent), Israel (92 percent), and Lebanon (59 percent) held unfavourable views of Iran, although in Lebanon, opinions split sharply along sectarian lines. Strikingly, the percentage of Egyptians with favourable views of Iran has fallen from 59 percent in 2006 to only 22 percent this year“.

But nature is just one journal at the best. And there are many journals have much higher impact factor than Nature or Science.
