I really don't understand who actually is considered veggie. There are people who eat fish and still considered themselves veggie and than there are those who never touched egg call themselves veggie.

I'm not sure that "distance" is that much of a factor, given the charts above.

I would argue that it is due to the Indian media printing stories like this:

It will probably balance out on the Chinese side eventually, as more Chinese people start reading that stuff.

I may have my dislike for the way china acts on the world stage, but to say it will attack India is India's version of Hong wu . I don't fear china on a military front , but rather on the economic front. It's bullying to cut off countries ( threats in the past) are sanctions related not really military related - else it would taken Taiwan by now. but then again that does not mean India should not empower it self militarily
