In hindsight, it turned out to be one of the, if not arguably the most, decisive/influential battles in Central Asia's history. Muslim victory over the Chinese ensured that Central Asia will develop into an Islamic civilizational character, and not the Chinese one (like other territories around China did, esp in East Asia).

I think it is overrated,as Gao's Protectorate of the Western Regions is about to give it another go after just merely two-three years but the An lu shan great rebelion devasted Tang empire.

Yeah, that’s the course of history. And the same Mongols were defeated by the Muslim Mamluks (Ain Jalut) and the Muslims of India. Ok, the Mongols conquered India finally but they were Muslims too. A massive amount of mongol subjects and royalty were Muslims. Kaidu Khan was Muslim and the Cousin of kublai Khan.

Alauddin Khilji did not save Hindus. He was interested in defending his empire.

Also Alauddin Khilji could not do anything when his own people living in Afghanistan were enslaved by Mongols. Afghanistan was ruled by Mongols for a brief period of time.

Fubing system is absolutely not how it described in the video but exactly opposite, it helped Taizong expands his empire to its largest extent, and actually it is the Jiedushi system that killed the central government as the power of local Jiedu grows, An lu shan earned the trust of Xuanzong and became the Jiedushi of three northern provinces with two hundred thousand armies.

The battle was honestly a defeat for both sides in the longer term. The Abbasids advance eastwards was checked while the Tang advance west suffered the same fate.

Hindus were not weak. Its just Hindus were not united. You Muslims take pride in conquering tiny Indian kingdoms like kingdoms of Prithviraj Chauhan, Maharana Pratap etc. Had it been an United India under Mauryan empire, Gupta India or the Maratha empire, your Islamic rulers would have run naked.

Oh and I forgot your overrated Mughal empire got badly beaten by the Kingdom of Ahom.

Muslim empires were like those badgers who used to prey on weak reindeers, otherwise the world witnessed the amount of terror unleashed by Crusaders, Mongols, 15th century Spain, British empire even the Sikh empire under Ranjit Singh upon Muslims.
