People say PTI has lost Lahore, I say look again
Two rallies under one leadership and extensive door to door campaigns; this is what it takes to introduce an idea to the nation; the idea of progress, prosperity, and opulence. That Idea was named Aleem Khan in the by-elections of NA-122; a person who was trusted and introduced by Khan in following words
“I got to know Aleem Khan when he became a donor for SKMTH and later found out he had been treated and cured at the Hospital. PTI’s founding member and ideological father, the late Ahsan Rasheed took me several times to persuade Aleem Khan to join PTI. Here is a man who gives so much to charity and is a clear success story in his business. He is also a man who stayed loyal to PTI despite not being given a ticket in the GE 2013.”
Since the day Khan entrusted the responsibility of uplifting the lives of people living in NA-122, Aleem Khan hasn’t rested for a single day. He deployed all his efforts in reaching out to the masses, addressing to chronic political problems and persuading the common man to stand up against “Khandani Siyasat.”
PTI knew from day one that winning by-election against Ayaz Sadiq was not an easy game. They also knew that bringing a new face to the constituency would be an enormous challenge but hats off to Khan’s determination and Aleem Khan’s dedication for a cut throat competition.
PTI might not have won on paper, but it has stamped fear on the minds of PML-N Leadership; the fear of losing power, diminishing popularity, fear of being accountable for wrong doings, and the fear of extinction..!!!
By definition, fear means “an anxious feeling, caused by our anticipation of some imagined event or experience.”

There are five stages of fear, and unfortunately Nawaz Sharif & Family has been the victim of all of them since 2011. Both imaginary and experienced events have been draining their energy, and they are utilizing all their official resources to overcome this fear. The effects of such fear were witnessed when PML (N) had to compete in by-elections. What was done to overcome that fear is as under.
PML-N has been in politics and made it a family business for the past 30 years. As per their claim, their roots have been engraved in the soil of Lahore and could win any election in Lahore with high margin without even running a campaign. It could have been true until PTI came forward and jeopardized their dreams within days.
Recently we observed some extraordinary precautions adopted by PML-N leaders and our very own Prime Minister of Pakistan, who took 2.5 hours of nation’s time on National TV. Amusingly the so-called ruling party advanced their by-election campaigns from our tax money.
PML-N didn’t stop here; to win this single seat PML-N utilized all the government resources such as Police, LDA, Patwaries and other government employees to bring the cup home. All MNAs and MP’s from Lahore & Punjab were on the ground for this constituency. On top of that, PML-N harassed voters of NA 122 constituency working in private firms by sending official letters to employees to vote for Ayaz Sadiq otherwise they will lose their job. (The evidence was shared by news channels)
When this did not satisfy them, they adopted yet another mind-blowing tactic. Reportedly thousands of voters who utilized their vote in favor of PTI during elections of 2013 were skimmed out of these by-elections. To cover up the gap, PML-N supporters from other regions & cities (nonconstitutional voters) were added up as registered voters. These notorious political tactics helped fierce competitors like Ayaz Sadiq to save himself from humiliation by the difference of only 2427 votes.
PML-N must understand that convincing people to vote for them by making roads, road network and anything related to roads, and that only in Lahore won’t work anymore. One way or another, PTI is enjoying the triumph of achieving its goal of mending the nation and bringing the derailed system back on track. It is PTI who has stood up against all odds and proved rigging, demanded by-elections, forced PML-N to walk in the streets of Lahore.
Haters may say anything but visible signs of change is setting a new atmosphere
