Believe it or not, this battle has everything to do with Iranians and Persians in specific. Everything is going on now between Arabs and Iranians as well as sects has everything to do with it. They think of it this way not us. Islam was spread in the same way in Jordan, Syria, Iraq, ...etc, yet, why don't we get all sensitive when we talk about Al-Yarmouk battle for instance? or other battles? We think it was the best thing that has ever happened to us. Because of it we are Muslims. Iranians should think of it the same way or else cry a river.

Of course is nothing who can fight 8 years against the fourth largest army with chemical weapons and they defeated the Baathist dogs in open war

This thread showcases how a once united religion now lies in tatters and division with every thing destroyed. The beauty of this religion was that it was a brotherhood that was supposed to encompass everything but now its nothing as we let ourselves be plagued in division and superiority. So be it. Our fall was predicted and this is our fall.

Anyhow the battle was a great victory for the Islamic empire over the super power sassanid. It showcased how powerful the might of Islam was. The Byzantines and sassanides were at each others throat for years and years before the rise of Islam yet one was never able to anniahalate the other however the Muslims, being lead by self belief and the strength of ALLAH immediately challenged both super powers at the same time. The Islamic victories that followed were truly amazing and the Sassanid's were thrown back while the Byzantines were defeated. The result was that the Sassanid empire was eradicated and the great super power of the Byzantine was barely left a regional power. No doubt had Constantinople fallen Europe would have been invaded from two ends and a good part of eastern southern Europe would have fallen.

It is part of our Islamic history. It is our history as mandated by the brotherhood of Islam.

We are currently so divided that many would feel more closeness from non Muslims than Muslims. A religion whose back bone was brotherhood is gone thus the very backbone of that religion is gone.
