Although decisions of european authroties to ban viels are based on Islamo-phobic attitudes but Muslims also take care of some of their behavior.

If we look at reaction of various muslim nationalities to such situations, we will find stark differences. For example, Turks have been interacting with Europeans for centuries and they have no such problem of dressing in public. Turks and other Eurpoean Muslims try to conform with local environment without compromising their fundamental islamic tenents. These are mostly middle eastern people who are rigid in their outlook disregarding their environment.

Anyway, face veils are not fundemental islamic requirement per se. It is more of a cultural thing. It is even prohibited during Hajj. Further, Islam advises muslims to take middle path and avoid confontation.

Enough harm has been done to the image of Islam till now and by not changing ourselves with time we will only make it worse. The Veil is highly outdated and is not even a requirement in the Quran. So i recommend you stop attaching nationalities to religion and see things individually for once.

We can't distort our religion to make it prettier for others. If some one doesn't like our religion then it is his/her personal belief but we can't change our religion just to make some one happy. And nothing in Islam is outdated. It our minds and souls who have rotten with materialism. I have a strong reason to associate your nationality with the religion. I have read the Quran many times and follow Islam as closely as possible but that does not mean that I close my eyes to newer ideas. Life is all about change and adjusting yourself to time and by changing I don’t mean that change the religion but change your attitude. The world is one big country now and practices that are outdated must be phased out to allow for the newer generation to prosper and move on. Materialism has nothing to do with it. When it comes to being an Indian I can proudly say that Indian Muslims are among the most liberal in the world and know how to follow their religion but still keep pace with the 21st century. Islam isn’t Pakistan’s property, India has more Muslims and Indian Muslims have done India very proud. Its not about updating the religion but updating your attitude and moving ahead with time. Having a doubt that moving ahead with time will weaken your belief in the Quran and Prophet Muhammad(SAW) is your own issue, others don’t see it that way.

if they r banning than what's wrong in that. it gives complete freedom to woman. now they can fulfill there will like make-up of full face. before ban they can only make-up there feet only or in some cases eyes only. i am not trolling it's reality.

It was totally anti Islamic. Something which is very common from different anti Islamic propagandists also claim. I don't know whether you read Quran or not. At least I never read that Quran says we should distort our religion to please others or as the world has changed. As far world is concerned most of the "muslims" won't accept your religion distortion theory. Or else one would also claim to make **** acceptable in Islam since it is very famous in today's world. And nothing is outdated in religion. It is us who are more prone to sins and aren't willing to leave them. We shouldn't make religion a scapegoat since we can't act upon it. If being liberal means distorting and changing religion then I am an extremist and billions of Muslims are also the same.
