Well, actually he represent some of Indonesian who believe that Indonesia is in China orbit, heavily influenced by China, or even conquered/bribed by China. Some of them even have mindset that they are willing to be conquered by America rather by China because thinking it is more respectable to be conquered by white than asian.

I myself do not see that way; Indonesian government is still playing game according to her principle of free and active in international relationship, keep balancing between China and US. In fact once Indonesia was a little bit in US orbit since 1965, but now Indonesia has been released from that orbit (and it is actually thanks to China economic & influence rise).

Agree that until now US propaganda is much more powerful than that of China. They have convinced many of us to believe communism is much more real and threat than US imperialism.

Racial disharmony between Indonesian chinese and native Indonesian quite often became card played by political powers. Since dutch occupancy this racial disharmony between chinese Indonesian and natives was played to weaken Indonesia, then by 1965 I believe US through CIA was playing this race issue too in order to keep Indonesia out from China and comunist influence; and is still being played during the proxy wars and elections.
