We have WS10 turbojet engine, the engine is matured. Now the reverse phrase is end, we have J20 in development, the WS15 engine of 18 tons thrust will be ready in year 2016.

if an engine with 18tons thrust power is under powered, then all IAF fighters are under powered.
PAF can't afford them (understatement) and Russia won't sell them. People are getting rather ahead of themselves- Russia has sold some outdated Mi-35s to Pakistan (who has said these will be used on their Western front only), some RD-93 engines to Pakistan via China and some unarmed Mi-17s. This is hardly cutting edge tech and hardly changing the military dynamics of the region. Russia isn't going to step over that invisible line, not because they are buddies with India but because India is BY FAR their largest defence customer (tens of billions in deals that the Pakistanis could never match). I'd like a sane person to tell me why Russia would jeopardise billions for a few million.
or may be their puppet Sharif was not bending down to the demands of americans so they slapped him by playing India card.
