@Nilgiri, answer to your post is above in the opening post by @Homo Sapiens. Read, it is 400 ft or about 122 meters thick. Why do you think it is not so without giving us any link to that. However, I agree that the thickness may not be uniform 400 ft. This is why a more elaborate survey is needed.

Because a simple study of what the multi million or billion level metric ton iron mines actual ground surface size (in operation today around the world) will tell you all you need to know what to expect from a measly 8 sq km lol.

An iron "layer" is not the same thing at all as the seam of iron ore.

Notice how they say the layer has other minerals in it too? That should be your first clue. In a layer assay, you are lucky if you score more than 10% as the actual target seam.

You can simply wait and see what the estimated reserve of iron ore actually is later. There is a reason these people didn't do your silly calculation (using wrong density too).

Then you can see if they ever actually do get around to doing something about it. Maybe your great grandchildren will see some progress potentially....while world would have far moved on by then to nano-composite materials. BD always thinking about starting 100 year old things another 100 years down the road.

In mean time, please do something productive with your time and start a demonstration in BD to get your first needle and sewing machine factory....to actually try help what you actually have in motion already. Thanks. This is common basic sense....but why are you ppl so stupid?
