Is Bangladeshi vegetarian cuisine as delicious as non-veg one?

What about inhabitants of Europe, East Asia and Africa then? Are those regions all covered in sand?
You've really got to get a grip. Your crazy projections are signs of your deep insecurities.
There is nothing wrong with being a vegan, vegetarian or meat-lover.
You do not need everyone to turn vegetarian to feel good about yourself.
A balanced diet is key.

Very good point and exactly what I expected.... well my friend people turning non vegetarian from other parts of world has its roots going long long long back to the time of EARLY MAN :-)

This EARLY MAN himself was struggling for his survival against the scary predators of jungles.... without weapons he was like a rabbit in front of those powerful predators :-)

He had no knowledge of fruits, no knowledge of cultivating vegetables, no weapons, no tools, no fire....

He then used to protect himself using wooden objects, stones.... since no knowledge of edible fruits and vegetables he too had to rely on meat for survival which he had seen and learnt from those deadly predators only.... this is how human all over the world evolved and adapted himself to non vegetarian diet when in reality he was not designed for the same.....

EARLY MAN is much ancient than even Islam.... so my point is it's not religion or Islam which has anything to do with non vegetarian diet.... Islam roots are from Arabian peninsula which is a desert with no vegetation and here the similar concept of an EARLY MAN was followed to survive....:-)

So please give up on misconception that Muslim cannot be a vegetarian or vegetarian diet is a side dish for Muslim.... you are just adapted to non vegetarian diet.... in reality human by default is vegetarian.....

He could had eaten grass too like other vegetarian animals

A human being needs about .37 grams of protein for every lb of weight. Protein not only build your muscles , but also help maintain you mental balance, immune system, mood swings, fatigues, metabolic, and body's healing capacity. You can get some of the nutrients found in protein from Dal, but not all of them.

Yes... he could have still fought wars with bows and arrows... what was the need of expensive mass destruction weapons???

He was happy on earth what is the need of expensive space missions???

My friend it's human instinct to explore.....

Do we really "need" rice though? Everything has a bit of carb in them. We do not need too much of it.

If you cook rice in open pot without using pressure cooker then it's very healthy....

I mentioned rice in terms of being complimentary to dal or beans in terms of protein.

Can You Get Enough Protein From Plant Foods?

By Leslie Bonci, MPH, RD, CSSD, LDN

To make sure we get enough protein everyday, it is important to consider quality and quantity. When we think of protein, the first foods that come to mind are typically chicken, beef and maybe eggs. But what if you opt to get your protein from plants instead of animal sources? A diet rich in vegetables, whole grains, beans, soy foods, and nuts and seeds can provide enough protein.

And the Dietary Guidelines for 2015-2020 recommend a plant-based eating plan as one of the dietary patterns to choose.[1]

Animal Protein & Plant Protein
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, and protein quality is determined by its amino acid composition. There are 9 essential amino acids, meaning our bodies cannot make them and we must get them from dietary sources.

Animal sources of protein -- meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy –contain all of the essential amino acids, which makes them complete proteins. Plant proteins are considered incomplete because they do not have all of the essentials. But plant-based foods like legumes (including beans and peanuts), nuts, seeds, grains and vegetables still have varying amounts of protein.

PLANT-BASED PROTEIN
Whole wheat toast, 2 slices : 6 grams

Broccoli, 1 cup: 4 grams

Brown rice, 1 cup: 5 grams

Beans, ½ cup: 7-9 grams

Lentils, ½ cup: 9 grams

Peanuts, 1/3 cup: 11 grams

Peanut butter, 2 Tbsp: 9 grams

Oats, ½ cup dry: 5 grams

Chia seeds, 2 Tbsp: 6 grams

Spinach, cooked-½ cup: 3 grams

And there is a myth that plant-based foods cannot provide the same benefits as animal proteins because they are incomplete. It is a fact that most plant proteins cannot make new protein for basic body functions because they are incomplete. However, you will not necessarily be in a protein or amino acid deficit if you eat primarily plant-based protein.

In fact, it’s as easy as making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! By combining complementary proteins -- grains, like rice or bread, and plant-based protein sources, like peanuts, peanut butter or beans – you create a complete protein.

Even so, eating grains and plant protein together is not necessary at every meal or snacktime. The body creates protein over a 24-hour period, NOT everytime you chow down. In other words, as long as the complementary proteins are eaten within the same day, the body accepts them as complete proteins. [2]

For instance, you might decide to grab whole grain toast and jam at breakfast, but then have a handful of peanuts as a mid-morning snack. Even though you did not eat the grains and legumes together, your body can synthesize new protein over the course of the day.

But if you ate your toast with peanut butter, it would be a complete protein, meaning all essential amino acids are delivered within one meal. Other examples are corn tortillas with black beans, bean soup and crackers, rice and lentils, and wheat noodles with peanuts and/or peanut sauce.

Don't underestimate bow and arrow as medieval warfare is not like what we see in movies. Even this guy who literally heat an incoming arrow with his arrow ( that you usually see in Indian epic TV serials like Mahabharata or Sri krishna), still be admitted that he is not nearly as strong as medieval professional soldiers. Now learn practically from this video. So even grass eaters aren't very good at war outside of movie. You still need to meat in order to become a medieval archer. There is a valid reason why Muslims and others always defeated grass eater vegetarians at war!

Excellent... great skills....thanks for sharing....

PS: Muslim warrior winning has nothing to do with meat eating....

Different sources to get everything essential.

Each food group serves a different purpose of nutrient need. Rice, bread, and maze have carbs for energy. Rice and Dal was my favorite growing up.

Actually I wanted to say that, dietary system plays a major role to build a genuine body fitness that is beneficial in war. Because war is more than just theory, I mean war is something more than chanting hymns in yoga exercise ( that is for weak or old people who are not eligible for fighting). :)

West Bengali educated Hindus are for the most part a bit different (new generation) since they started protein intake (they eat beef). Their mentality is more objective (I'd say secular) and less narrow. This is reflected in their politics which is quite anti-Hindutva.

If west bengali hindus had half an awareness of what bangladeshi muslims have then either they would have asked for their own country or merged with bangladesh. Instead they stick to hindu idea of india which fundamentally neither speaks their language nor really respects them. This idea was sold to them by their vegiie bhadralok with their brahmo samaj , their nonsense called rama krishna mission, shyama prasada mukherjee etc.

There was a time when pakistani punjabis and others did not respect bangladeshis. Bangladeshis did what one expects any reasonable population to do. They fought , got their independence. Now they have their own parliament which speaks their language and their own country. And economically they are beautifully catching up.

Well an independent West Bengal will eventually happen. Which will benefit us - even if they don't merge with us, which is their decision.

Self determination for the West Bengalis is bound to happen when an educated population is mistreated and denied employment in its own turf.

Where is that video clip where this Dada was demonstrating in front of a BPO company in Kolkata which was denying Bengalis employment in Kolkata itself! Can you imagine the gall of these Gangu Hindi-speaking people?? Amazing!!

Hindi-speakers always denigrate West Bengal folks by calling them lazy and inactive etc.

Sorry about the off-topic post.

Please understand people in Bangladesh do not consume large amount of meat in a regular meal, it just might be couple of ounces a day. However that changes in a festival where people pile up meat on their plates !
