Bangladeshi secular publisher hacked to death

Killing brother of army soldier ? When did this thing happen ?
Also, killing people for eating beef ? I'm unaware of these developments. lol.. if people start killing those who eat beef then we will have full fledged riots in Kerala.

It's been a while now:
Dimapur: Lynched Nagaland man came from family of Armymen, not Bangladesh | The Indian Express
Nagaland Lynching: Questions Raised Over Killing of Alleged Rapist, Brother Cries Foul

About killing for eating beef, I'm referring to killings like Dadri lynching. Not saying it happens everyday, but I remember many here chose to accuse the victim instead - for not respecting sentiments of Hindus.

hmm.. just saw the news. I had been out of touch with current affairs for some time. Work pressure...This is deplorable.

The problem is lack of proper education. Education empowers one to differentiate between right and wrong. An educated person cannot be hoodwinked/brainwashed easily by these radicals.

Exactly. Same with BD - it's the few uneducated fanatics and trust me they've got no popular support here.

Besides, @indianBong is generally a decent poster - don't know why he picked me for personal attack over this incident. He feels no one is condemning it - just look around, check BD subforum, check BD media, it's not what you think. ;)

people get carried away. Give people a chance. I have always believed in giving second chances.

The difference between us and you is pretty clear.

We condemn the killers, otoh you guys deify the lynching mob and rioters! They have tremendous level of support from ordinary Indians.

How would it sound if some random BD forumer started justifying the killing?
That's the sort of stuff we see in the Indian section everyday, justification of killing - why killing members of the minority was right under the given circumstances!
Lol,so now a Jamaati girl like you will teach us about morality:lol:!!I literally fell off my chair after reading this stupid post of yours but then again what can we expect from a Jamaati sympathizer:rolleyes:

Bangladeshi secular publisher hacked to death

A Bangladeshi publisher of secular books has been hacked to death in the capital Dhaka in the second attack of its kind on Saturday, police say.

Faisal Arefin Dipon, 43, was killed at his office in the city centre, hours after another publisher and two secular writers were injured in an attack.

They are the latest victims in a series of deadly attacks on secularists since blogger Avijit Roy was hacked to death by suspected Islamists in February.

Both publishers published Roy's work.

Mr Dipon was found dead at the Jagriti Prokashoni publishing house, in his third-floor office.

"I saw him lying upside down and in a massive pool of blood. They slaughtered his neck. He is dead," his father, the writer Abul Kashem Fazlul Haq, said, quoted by AFP.

Earlier on Saturday, armed men burst into the offices of publisher Ahmedur Rashid Tutul.

Some of them are needed in india...indian liberals need a reality slap to realize what intolerance really means.

Yes we neee more since murdering writers and lynching people over rumours are surely not enough! These crazy liberals.

Any unnatural death murder is unfortunate and unexpected. No way I am supporting any killing but they are bringing their own death.

It is another sophisticated way to say that you support but you do not want to loose your so called status symbol by supporting a killer..Never mind....It is your nation and your people..You choose the destiny of your nation..

.
Unfortunate but expected they were mocking religion and hearting millions. If some of them take action in their hand you cannot blame them.
You spoke like a true Sanghi(Even they do the same when someone is lynched based on a beef rumour)

You might want their presence in your country.. combined forces you know

There is a difference between criticism and organised online lynch mob to gang up on anyone who speaks up.

It goes both ways, just check how from the opposite camp of 'organised online lynch mob' 'gang up' against Chetan Bhagat, Anupam Kher, etc. It's just your perception that it is organized. When a public figure takes a political position, there will be many people from diverse backgrounds who would speak for and against that person, you cannot club all the criticizing voices as a gang, that's demeaning and also a kind of intolerance towards different voices of opinion and freedom of speech, something you are supposedly fighting for.

Once again, whataboutry is not a valid criticism, its just a way to silencing the critics, Anupam Kher indulges in the same.

By this logic, since there were innumerable occasions in past, one could have protested against something wrong, and you coundnt have protested against all and sundry for some reasons, so you are not allowed to protest against anything else in future!! This is an alternate version of let those who haven't committed a sin cast the first stone and let me repeat here - an way to silencing the critics!

Ad hominem is another favourite tool of silencing the critics by finding some flaw in his personal life or in extended family and thus his view become automatically void.

And im not talking about annonymous trolls here, but sm celebrities, govt leaning journalists like Kanchan or Gourav or Swapanda.

You are naive if you think all these hashtags and ganging up are not organized, and yes i believe congress has learned the sm game as well although they are catching up, aap has always been media savvy.

That was an old news, a mob in Nagaland lynched a man (happens to be a Muslim) accused of raping a girl, all the deaths of Muslims don't necessarily have a religious angle...but the way things are going; we will soon see headlines like "Muslim bike rider killed by a Hindu truck driver".
