Bangladeshi Nationals attack border outpost in Meghalaya

Two groups of Bangladeshi nationals have attacked an Indian border outpost in Meghalaya on Wednesday. One Group attacked at BSF outpost and another group attacked at a house of a family in Meghalaya.
Suspected Bangladeshi nationals attacked two BSF personnel and took away their weapons while targeting a border post in Meghalaya. A BSF jawan was injured in this.
A senior official said another group of Bangladeshis entered the house of a family in Meghalaya and escaped after looting money, mobile phone and gun. The head of the house owner was injured in this incident.
West Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police (SP) Lakador Syiem said the incident took place at Amdoh and Rongtila at midnight. These places are about five kilometers from the India-Bangladesh border.
“A group of 10-15 Bangladeshi nationals allegedly surrounded two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel near Rongtila border post (BoP), snatched their weapons, causing injuries to one of them,” Lakador Syiem said.
West Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police (SP) Lakador Syiem said that the snatched weapons were recovered from near the forest.
Before this incident, another Bangladeshi group entered the house of Pratap Bareh of Amdoh village. The village falls near the Rongtila Border Out Post. The group escaped by robbing money, mobile phones and weapons from the house and injuring one person.
