Bangladeshi farmer killed by indian BSF in Chuadanga

A Bangladeshi farmer was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Medinipur frontier in Jibonnagar upazila on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Moshiur Rahman Moshi, 35, son of Abdur Rashid, resident of Harinagar village of the upazila.

BSF members from Putkhali border camp in India entered the Bangladesh territory and opened fire at a group of farmers, numbering four-five, while they were working in the field around 5pm, leaving Moshi dead on the spot and two others injured.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) battalion-6 commander Lt Col S M Moniruzzaman confirmed the incident.

Because they try to jump the border.
They can be smugglers or terrorists or a regular joe going to a border market in India, that is irrelevant.

How do you know this Sir...?and If it is the case then our soldiers should stop them and ask them about that and if there is an additional need for shooting then they can shoot at their legs atmost...Why killing innocent people then....?

Nope, Never Ever BSF can do this.
A nice juicy and emotional story to prove them innocent.
But I am damn sure they were trying something wrong there, and that is why BSF fired.
And why should BSF cross the border to fire when they can do this from Inside the border?

There were cases when BSF was told to not shoot and it ended up as the terrorists and smugglers who were crossing came close and attacked the BSF and a jawan lost his life.

The matter is clear and has been made clear to Bangladeshis on the border(as well as Indians on the border) - if you try to jump the border, you will be shot. If even after this clear warning, they choose to do it (for any reason including innocent ones), they are responsible for their own fate.

Any way to solve this problem as shooting dead is the last way that BSF is resorting to? There are lifes. The dead is a farmer, not a terrorist. It only bring up hatre between Countries. Never hear about that any civillians got shot along CHina and India border. BSF shall think twice before open fire.

He may unintentionaly and indeliberately entrered into India territory, and he got no malign intention.

perhaps you missed the point, these weapons are not doing anything, just hogwash when regime is an indian subservient. These weapons only become effective if used for defense of Bangladesh and Bangladeshis.
