Bangladeshi farmer killed by indian BSF in Chuadanga
A Bangladeshi farmer was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Medinipur frontier in Jibonnagar upazila on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Moshiur Rahman Moshi, 35, son of Abdur Rashid, resident of Harinagar village of the upazila.
BSF members from Putkhali border camp in India entered the Bangladesh territory and opened fire at a group of farmers, numbering four-five, while they were working in the field around 5pm, leaving Moshi dead on the spot and two others injured.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) battalion-6 commander Lt Col S M Moniruzzaman confirmed the incident.
