1 bigha doesn't seem such a big land. At least make it more reasonable if you want to have such drastic laws. Many rich guys will be super pissed now.

Pakistan should do land reforms immediately , land should go to real farmers who are landless , this will bring maximum land under agriculture . Another rule should be that residential plots should not be bigger than 200 sq mtr . This will save agricultural land .Wow, if only something similar is introduced in Pakistan. Might just solve a major portion of our problems as we would be rid of large land owners, waderas, sardars and jagirdaars etc., from the Parliament and Assemblies.
that is too much , in India a single person is allowed to have six bigha of agricultural land , feudalism was abolished by Indira gandhi .
No a good move by a Bangladeshi government. What a stupid law!!
Take care of wealth hoarding through the tax system - instead of through socialist rationing!!!
Tax on land is the best way to ensure wealth distribution without choking genuine entrepreneurship.
Stupid reasoning. Great example of perfect being the enemy of good. Unless it doesn't have any loopholes and not have corruptions have any effect on it etc, they can't pass an otherwise good law? Instead of arguing why we should pass it because it isn't perfect, how about support it and ask for adding on improvement to the law like fixing those loopholes.I don't buy your BS logic! Why it's 60 bighas and not 55 or 65 bighas? Who decided that 60 bighas should be enough?
What is the golden standard of "a lot for any one person"? It's dam.n socialist idea that I abhor!
Or buy with black money! Take loan , start development project, spend 3/4 times ( necessary for loot) !
But common folks can't buy more than 60 bighas because they buy with white money!
If you go against it , you are either Razakar or a Pakistani, you should go to Pakistan! Period!
(This is BAL mentality nowadays!)
If someone inherits more than 60 bighas then what happens?
"If an individual possesses over 60 bighas of land (33 shotok per bigha), the government will be able to acquire the additional land," he explained.
I judge a law by it's usefulness and effects, not on whether its socialist or capitalist. BD govt have many stupid and corrupt people but at least they don't have someone as stupid as you. It's dam.n socialist idea that I abhor!

And who are you to decide?I judge a law by it's usefulness and effects, not on whether its socialist or capitalist. BD govt have many stupid and corrupt people but at least they don't have someone as stupid as you.

Wow great! So many socialist from Islamic republic of Pakistan! I guess why BAL is founding their new found love to Pakistan! No a good move by a Bangladeshi government.
That will prevent a feudal lord culture and a power and control of resources they get through that land.
Pakistan is still suffering from that menace.
Well for the first time I agree with you! What a stupid law!!

You will lose it to muktizuddher chetona! You must participate in pension plan ,so that s Alam can be beneficial! If someone inherits more than 60 bighas then what happens?
It's 60 Bigha ! However since common people are mlecchas aka schedule cast , so how dare they will buy property that they don't need (!?)? How dare they will invest their money on land, so that their children will be beneficial? Their children are the children of slaves , so no right to inheritance property! They must do slavery to eat and live a comfortable life!1 bigha doesn't seem such a big land. At least make it more reasonable if you want to have such drastic laws. Too late, won't happen.Pakistan should do land reforms immediately , land should go to real farmers who are landless , this will bring maximum land under agriculture . Another rule should be that residential plots should not be bigger than 200 sq mtr . This will save agricultural land .
If this is the case, then what will happen to hundreds of bighas of land owned by the leading businessmen in Bangladesh? Do you think they will let the govt. take their land just like that? You will lose it to muktizuddher chetona! You must participate in pension plan ,so that s Alam can be beneficial!
(So bhai, it's better for us to buy rikshaw or auto rikshaw , as according to our damn "Khete khaoa manush" theory, as if Doctor, engineers ,bankers , professors , and SME business people don't work to earn money!
Vab khana ei ze kayik porisrom kora chara onno ra khate na!
So lets make our country free from desk job, or lets reserve it only for BAL people! )
So BAL backed oligarchs can loot and common people must have the property only what they need! Damn BS!
it is very difficult if law makers are themselves big land holders .Too late, won't happen.
The people who would legislate for and enforce this land reform are the same ones who own all the land or are married into land owning families.
The landowners, business people, generals, top bureaucrats and politicians are all intermarried into each others families.
Turkeys don't vote for Christmas.
Why do you think the country is in the state that it is.
If a single man own hundred of bighas of land and there are others who are landless people who work on others land , this is feudalism . Big landholders control politics of that area .We have no feudalism in our country. What abolishing feudalism in Bangladesh has anything to do with Sarwardy's departure from Pakistan's politics?
Govt can take land from people who are not tilling the land , govt can distribute this land to landless people who will do the farming on ground .If this is the case, then what will happen to hundreds of bighas of land owned by the leading businessmen in Bangladesh? Do you think they will let the govt. take their land just like that?
