Bangladeshi 4 peacekeepers killed in bomb blasts in Mali
Four Bangladeshi soldiers of the United Nations peacekeeping force were killed in bomb blasts in Africa's Mali. Three others were injured in the incident. The blasts occurred during Bangladesh time on Wednesday night.
The deceased are Warrant Officer Abul Kalam, Pirojpur (37 AD Regis. RT), Lance Corporator Akhtar, Mymensingh (9 Field Rez. RT), Sainik Raihan, Pabna (32 eb), Sainik (Pakkhi) Jamal, Chapainawabganj (32 Eb ).
The injured were Corporal Russell, Naogaon (32 Eb), Sainik Akram, Rajbari (32 Eb), Sainik Newton, Jessore (17 Bir), Sainik Rashed, Kurigram (32 eb).
UN mission officials said the casualties occurred when a bomb exploded on the roadside while guarding a convoy of the peacekeeping force in Bani city of Mali region.
