Bangladesh worst to invest in: Survey

^^ lol u said the balance of payments is not that good, show me proof of that. You are talking of a trade deficit here. All Intl trade is done against a collateral/ Letter of credit/Bank guarantees so where is the balance of payments to Bangladesh.

I think there is scope for more..

Trade is just a start..There can be deeper economic integration..

I really think we can have a very good economic situation if we have the will to do more..

What trade would you expect?? We import 5 bllion dollar and will hit 8 billion in couple of years. Now its time for you to reciprocate.

Regarding allowing people to go to India?? Well Bangladeshis provides highest number of tourist to India other than USA/UK (who are mainly expatriate Indians).

You better look into the facts and figures.

Well I am not worried about Indian trade deficit. India is our raw material/ Onion suppliers. We eat a lot and there should be somebody who are willing to export.

there is other areas we can invest and learn from

Meanwhile, the central bank has finalised the account of the last fiscal year's import, which shows 41.47 percent growth. In June, imports grew 40 percent.

The letters of credit opening rose by 34 percent in the last fiscal year, indicating high imports in the coming months.

The high import and low remittance growth have created pressure on balance of payments, leading to depreciation of the taka.

the same's happening in India as well, But BD's more critical than Ind.

How BD's case is more critical. India all along had a current account deficit, infact hardly ever had a surplus. BD anticipating that, she may see a lower surplus this year. Deficit still a far cry. We have to wait and see at the end of the year. We did not have a deficit in the last one decade.

Albeit, those are short-term setbacks for BD.

For BD to develop first it should first get a grip on their population problem. Its already occupies 12th position in population density.
List of sovereign states and dependent territories by population density - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Note that countries from 1-11 are high income countries.

West bengal and bihar has higher density of people then Bangladesh along with more poverty on those region then Bangladesh but still the big mouth people of WB do not miss the opportunity to put a heaven like life for them over here.

Population is not the main issue but to manage them properly and to bring the best out from them is the main issue. Bangladesh already have lowest fertility rate and population growth rate then both India and Bangladesh.

Are Dada, why are you refuting me point by point

I just gave a few examples..

Think of ways you can strenghten the relationship into a win-win one

And as far as import export is concerned.. what I say is we can do a lot of things but not at the cost of sacrificing our domestic industries...

That is win-lose

Business is business.. Industries will set up up shop wherever there is advantage..

I was saying that the economic relationship b/w India and Bangladesh is not exhausted.. There are huge scope ...

I would indulge my B-school courses and my business sense to think of hundreds of ways to do that but you know today is Saturday and a weekend :-)))
