Bangladesh witnessed massive anti-Pakistan protests on International Mother Language Day

Bangladesh is an independent country.
Now it has its language and own independence
Why attack about what happened in the past. Why waste time on demonstrations. Why not do something for your own future and future of Bangladesh.

Oh Indian lovers...
Pakistan is here to stay and will alway be kicking India up the rear. You can cry all you want....Pakistan don't care.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, different socio-cultural organizations and civil society platforms took part in processions-cum human-chain programmes, bicycle-rally and Seminars in Dhaka and other Divisional towns in Bangladesh.

While paying homage to the brave-hearts who lost their lives, speakers recalled with horror the role of Pakistan occupation forces to suppress the movement and brutal crackdown on innocent citizens.

Bangladesh Social Activists Forum (BSAF), a prominent NGO having roots in the nationalist movement of the country, held memorial meetings and processions in various parts of the country. The speakers paid homage to the fallen soldiers of Bengali national movement and criticized the wily rule of Pakistani dictators who tried to suppress the Bengali national movement and freedom struggle of Bangladesh.

In Dhaka, volunteers of BSAF offered floral tribute at Dhaka Central Shaheed Minar followed by a rally of over one hundred people which passed through Dhaka University, National Museum and culminated at Dhaka Press Club. Freedom fighters, intellectuals, scholars etc participated in the function. In Khulna a rally of over hundred people including twenty motor bikes was held from Shaheed Hadith Park and culminated at Gallamari Shaheed Budhijeevi Memorial. Similar rallies and memorial meetings were held in Rajshahi, Benepole and Patuakhali (Bangladesh).

During the rally, posters condemning Pakistan for its brutal attempt to suppress the Bengali language movement in 1952 were displayed. In their address, speakers pledged not to forget the atrocities committed by Pakistan on hapless Bengali people.

‘Open Dialogue Bangladesh’ organized a seminar cum discussion meeting at Economic Reporter’s Forum Hall Dhaka on the subject ‘52’s Language Movement and Independence’. Approximately one hundred and fifty people including prominent individuals and liberation war veterans participated in the function. Monirul Hasan Bulbul, Senior Journalist and former secretary of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Govind Chandra Pramanik senior Advocate, Dr. Manoranjan Ghoshal, veteran freedom fighter, BasudevDhar, President Indian Media Correspondent Association etc spoke on the occasion. The speakers, in their address remembered the evil intention of Pakistan to snatch Banglalanguage and culture through their ‘Urdu only’ policy which freedom loving Bengali population vehemently opposed. The speakers remembered that Pakistan’s designs to control Bangladesh are unabated and still continuing in various forms. They pledged to resist the nefarious designs of Pakistan and continue to fight to protect the much fought freedom and liberation of the country.

Bharat Bangladesh Sampriti Sangshta (BBSS) Welfare Association organized a bicycle rally. Around one hundred and thirty five people took part in the rally led by Taufiq Ahmed Tasfir, President of the organization. The rally started from Nikunja, passed through Road No. 71 where Pakistan High Commission is located and terminated at GulshanAvenue. Speaking during the programme, speakers stated that innocent Bangladeshi people were victimized by the Pak forces who wanted to suppress the freedom of speech of Bengali people. They urged the govt. to sever all kinds of bilateral relations with Pakistan, the killer of thirty lakh Bangladeshis.

Participants were holding placards with slogans such as ‘Pakistan wanted to kill Bengali’s freedom of speech’, ‘we will not forgive Pakistan who emptied the lap of mother for speaking in mother language’, ‘ those who did not accept our Banglalanguage cannot be our friends’ etc.

I wonder how much they were paid by the Indians.

Not much. These are low lives , you only need one or two packs of biryani and $5-$6 to buy each of them.
Pakistan is here to stay and will alway be kicking India up the rear. You can cry all you want....Pakistan don't care.
It looks that you are caring them more while we are making fun of them lol!

.
Massive yea? I can count 20 people there. This BD writer needs to improve his basic English cause he is badly cracking the hell out of English language and its dictionary.

The guy is Indian and the report was published in Indian newspaper.
You would actually find more participants in an anti Pakistan rally held in Pakistan it self.

I think they hung around long enough for the pictures, then they got tired of the screaming and shouting and went back to the jhupar-patti with their biryani packets...

.
in Bangladesh you guys like fish biryani more or the chicken/beef ones?

Naw brother, Mutton and Beef Biryani rules. Any Bangladeshi here will tell you, fish Biryani is rare, chicken too (mostly cooked at home, but usually not served to guests)....Beef and Mutton Biryani always for guests, at least in my household. :-)

We had Awadhi Biryani introduced in the 1600's by migrant Bawarchis but local variety is Dhakai Kacchi Biryani made with Mutton. Usual Dum-Pukht process using hundi sealed with atta.

Good to hear from Bangladeshi people that they are now more Pro Pakistan and anti-India, and relations between the countries can be improved with new and fresh leadership.

Actually brothers ,tbh , for the first time I hear about fish biryani! Never knew that people cook biryani with fish!
I'd say Mutton and Beef are far more common than Fish variety. And Mutton and Beef varieties are better IMHO as a result.

Fish Fry is a separate category and served with plain rice usually.

. .
Where do you find fish biryani ? Just searched for some recipes and all are west Bengali youtube channels. Probably you heard it from one of them ?

Actually "Machhe bhate Bangali " proverb suits for them (WB) , not for us brother! We like meat more than fish . Although people eat fish of ponds despites bad taste, because it's cheaper source of protein, but it's no one's favorite.

And personally ,only one type of fish I eat and that is Hilsha aka Ilish!

That should really tell if you there is much negative feelings towards Pakistan at all, as most people in BD do not really care or follow a culture of country bashing as other neighbors (cough).
