Bangladesh witnessed massive anti-Pakistan protests on International Mother Language Day

An indian source. BTW Indians talk big things like MASSIVE RALLY, and FULLY INDIGENOUS and SUPER POWER. While in reality every single thing coming out of india is so small just like their dicks.
This MASSIVE PROTEST makes farmers protest looks small.

.
What BD mothers language day and Pakistan have got to do with each other and i can't even count more then 30 people so where is the rest of the massive rally.
RAW don't be cheap skate and only hire few people as extra's to take pictures and i know your budget must be under pressure after losses in Afghanistan. RAW needs to spend a bit more and don't be typical Indian embarrassment in the world.
BD is a free country they can speak what ever they wish as they please. Its hard enough as it is, to keep track of there spoken language as its keeps on changing between Modi to Xi spoken languages.

.
I tried to google more pictures and the same fifteen people showed up...among other pictures of Hot Desi babes and Masala spicy gals... 8-)

iu

The dudes are there for the free biriyani I am sure.

. . . .
Just curious and out of topic but can you inform me about the current scenario of quota system in your country. Is it abolished completely?

No I believe some quota system components (for govt. jobs and education mostly) are still there for non-Bengali ethnicities. Have a look, sorry for the off-topic post.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, different socio-cultural organizations and civil society platforms took part in processions-cum human-chain programmes, bicycle-rally and Seminars in Dhaka and other Divisional towns in Bangladesh.

While paying homage to the brave-hearts who lost their lives, speakers recalled with horror the role of Pakistan occupation forces to suppress the movement and brutal crackdown on innocent citizens.

Bangladesh Social Activists Forum (BSAF), a prominent NGO having roots in the nationalist movement of the country, held memorial meetings and processions in various parts of the country. The speakers paid homage to the fallen soldiers of Bengali national movement and criticized the wily rule of Pakistani dictators who tried to suppress the Bengali national movement and freedom struggle of Bangladesh.

In Dhaka, volunteers of BSAF offered floral tribute at Dhaka Central Shaheed Minar followed by a rally of over one hundred people which passed through Dhaka University, National Museum and culminated at Dhaka Press Club. Freedom fighters, intellectuals, scholars etc participated in the function. In Khulna a rally of over hundred people including twenty motor bikes was held from Shaheed Hadith Park and culminated at Gallamari Shaheed Budhijeevi Memorial. Similar rallies and memorial meetings were held in Rajshahi, Benepole and Patuakhali (Bangladesh).

During the rally, posters condemning Pakistan for its brutal attempt to suppress the Bengali language movement in 1952 were displayed. In their address, speakers pledged not to forget the atrocities committed by Pakistan on hapless Bengali people.

‘Open Dialogue Bangladesh’ organized a seminar cum discussion meeting at Economic Reporter’s Forum Hall Dhaka on the subject ‘52’s Language Movement and Independence’. Approximately one hundred and fifty people including prominent individuals and liberation war veterans participated in the function. Monirul Hasan Bulbul, Senior Journalist and former secretary of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Govind Chandra Pramanik senior Advocate, Dr. Manoranjan Ghoshal, veteran freedom fighter, BasudevDhar, President Indian Media Correspondent Association etc spoke on the occasion. The speakers, in their address remembered the evil intention of Pakistan to snatch Banglalanguage and culture through their ‘Urdu only’ policy which freedom loving Bengali population vehemently opposed. The speakers remembered that Pakistan’s designs to control Bangladesh are unabated and still continuing in various forms. They pledged to resist the nefarious designs of Pakistan and continue to fight to protect the much fought freedom and liberation of the country.

Bharat Bangladesh Sampriti Sangshta (BBSS) Welfare Association organized a bicycle rally. Around one hundred and thirty five people took part in the rally led by Taufiq Ahmed Tasfir, President of the organization. The rally started from Nikunja, passed through Road No. 71 where Pakistan High Commission is located and terminated at GulshanAvenue. Speaking during the programme, speakers stated that innocent Bangladeshi people were victimized by the Pak forces who wanted to suppress the freedom of speech of Bengali people. They urged the govt. to sever all kinds of bilateral relations with Pakistan, the killer of thirty lakh Bangladeshis.

Participants were holding placards with slogans such as ‘Pakistan wanted to kill Bengali’s freedom of speech’, ‘we will not forgive Pakistan who emptied the lap of mother for speaking in mother language’, ‘ those who did not accept our Banglalanguage cannot be our friends’ etc.

What a bunch of jokers,
someone needs to tell them to move on,

No one tried to oppress any language, having a single national language does not amount to suppression of another language, and there was never, not once, not even by Jinnah had any opposition to Bengali being used as a provincial language.

If the rest of us did not mind, we were and still are also proud of our mother languages, but love and own Urdu as our own, then why the heck get so sensitive. This attitude amounts to seeing yourself as special, it amounts to arrogance.

What happened is done, time to move on, and stop wallowing in self-pity, especially since it is based on misplaced facts.

- During the 1952 language movement, the east Pakistan govt had declared 144 throughout Dhaka. But, a few young people, not all of them were students, decided to defy the rule and started procession and demonstration. This caused the Police to fire upon them as the law required of them, and some people died of it.

- At that time, the Governor-General/President of Pakistan was Khwaja Nazimuddin of Dhaka and the east Pakistan Chief Minister was Nurul Amin, a Bengali.

- In reality, it was the decision of the ruling Muslim League to order firing or impose Urdu in both east and west.

- Yet, we tend to blame everything on west Pakistan and its people.
