Her first scheduled official visit is China not India. BD did not send any envoy to India so far but India did send whole bunch of people already. Our foreign minister visited Malayasia, Saudi and next week going to Burma and none of them is India. So we have lot more bigger issues and stake holdings with other contries than India. I can guarantee you that any govt in Bangladesh will act as non aligned way.

The reason that Bangladesh keeps Pakistan involved in everything is because we don't want to get squashed by India. At the same time we do everything to offend Pakistan without realizing that it plays into India's hands. A very pathetic type of diplomacy.

She was in power 96-2001, and nothing she did that time which could prove this way. Bangladesh is a matured country and it acts in a certain way no matter whoever in power.

there is certainly no need for a bangladeshi to give a reply to a pakistani on such issues.
on the other hand it's ready sad if officials and ministers of bangladesh didn't visit india on a frequent bases.
india is the major economical power in the subcontinent and we should give highest priority to india ,
pakistan on the other hand already rained itself by having enimity towards india and now wish that bangladesh should also follow it's foot steps...pakistan is a failed state , leave pakistan aside .

bangladesh should develope strong ties with india , learn from their ecomonic model , follow their education system and lets build a better bangladesh !

Why not reply to a Pakistani in a Pakistani forum. We are here to learn each other and share our views only to enrich ourselves. I am sure a lot Pakistanis and Indians have a better view of Bangladesh and they had a opportunity to know us. What happend in 1971 does not mean we can not be friend with newer generation Pakistanis who had nothing to do with the events in 1971.

Yes India is a very important country for Bangladesh and we should explore all the possibilities with India in economic and cultural front. Saying that, it does not mean we need to give special treat to India.
Not sure about their economic model and educational system as in both arena we are doing better than them except higher education.

You forced me to reply to this. Bangladesh have a long tradition of tolerance which I believe healthy for the democracy. Some of AL-Zakirs view not acceptable to most Bangladeshis but I believe AL-Zakir will turn to a real patriot when Bangladesh will need him most. I also like to think AL-Zakir will take Bangladesh side if there are any war with Pakistan.
If not we will put him before war crime tribunal after we win the war.. No mistake this time...
