Two people, including a policemen, have been killed and five injured in an explosion near the entrance of Bangladesh's largest Eid congregation in Kishoreganj.

Over 3 lakh people had gathered to offer prayers at the spot.

Bangladeshi media reports that police is now trading fires with the attackers.

Kishoreganj is 100 kms north of Dhaka where a cafe was attacked on July 1. 28 people, mostly foreigners, had died in the attack

Bangladesh Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said the attack is a political move and has no Islamic agenda. He also confirmed that the attack was aimed at the police convoy which was guarding the Eid congregation.

More details are awaited.

Very sad and unfortunate .never thought qe have to watch this in Eid day.but only good things happened today is controversial Imam fariduddin masud could not lead the Eid prayer due to protest by the Muslim.

.
good that casualty is low, could have been much worse

This also should be investigated to find out if its home grown or trace back to foreign hand.

Well you will find out very soon from presstitutes, they are very good at conducting investigations before everyone else

RIP to the dead.

This is pretty disturbing , seems those indulging in these activities have an agenda to execute. Consistent attacks portray a dangerous trend, if not nipped now it will end up becoming normal. Such killings over a period of time will desensitize the system that ppl will come to with live with it.

Reminds me of 1990'-2000 decade in India where deaths due to bomb blast in public place every week or then was considered normal occurrence . Police will find some scape goats and court would release them after few years.

Bangladesh has to act fast and break the chain of violence.

I'm puzzled to find any reasoning to relate the attack on muslims during Eid and bombing holiest of holy shrines and mosques and claiming it "The will of Allah".I mean, did Allah wills to kill innocent people who just made a prayer to him on a holy day like Eid?

ISIS bombing in Iraq,Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh---Any similarities anyone?

.
don't know what to say

why would terrorists who consider themselves as guardian of Muslim faith
will attack Muslim while they are praying to allah
