If Istanbul you need to be little cautious since it's way too cosmopolitan. Better to go with tour guides/groups for sight seeing!! Food should be OK since everything is Helal and usually clean. As for Istanbul, don't forget to take a tour of the great mosques (Sulaymaniye, Blue mosque etc.), Topkapi palace (especially museum), Dolmabahce palace, a walk along the Bosphorus, and the list continues.... And, they have very good ferry services to take you from the Asian to the European side. If possible, take a Bosphorus tour ship ride - it's amazing provided the sky is clear!!! As for shopping, if you go to Kapalicarsi (covered grand bazar) don't forget to haggle - it's a test on nerves!!!!i am going to turkey next month... any cool place to eat out or visit you suggest?
