Jamaat is nothing without BNP cooperation. So, BNP support may increase, but not the Jamaati support if AL bestows honour to the fallen Indian soldiers in 1971.

I don't think any innocent people will love to cross or come near to border. Finally Bangladeshi's are NOT Pakistanis.

Indians like to pretend that the BD-India relationship is friendly and the border is tension free, but whenever BSF kills a BD citizen they would come with asll kinds of excuses as if this border is same as Jammu & Kashmir border.

BSF actions only prove that Indian attitude is less than friendly.

Considering the role Gen. Zia played during his Presidency, it seems that BNP is progressive minded, but backward minded Jamaat has made Asr on it. The country needs progressive minded politicians both in AL and BNP who can move the country forward and towards modernization.

Corrupt BNP leaders should learn honesty from the Jamaat top leaders and then it should get rid of that Party. A BNP-Jamaat joint election platform next time may not be as fruitful as it was in 2001.

However, I personally would not cherish the prospect of a complete demise of Jamaat. Because, then AL will take advantage of the situation and tilt more towards India. A balanced political landscape is needed in BD.

To say frankly, Indian soldiers participated in the 1971 war to give India a very rare decisive win. 1300 Indian soldiers gave their lives in that mission.

You wont find a single border in the whole world where there is no illegal movement of people. Be it smuggler or somebody wanting to see his girlfriend right across the border. There will always be movement of people. YOu cant stop them but you have the right to put them behind the bar.
Most of the shooting takes place due to deep rooted communal hatred that the BSF bears inside their mind and how they got raised. Just a reflection of whole indian society.

EW : Kidding around again, are you? .. As far as we care .. BD is a friendly nation -- as of now. What you and your kin think for India -- is your business. Same applies for our border's. We shall protect it against infiltration - be it terrorists or Smuggler's.

There is no pretension in what we want to believe. Take it or leave it, but thats were Delhi stands as of now. You on the other hand seem lost on your policies and stand viz-a-viz delhi. If you or your people really believe all that your media claims for the border deaths -- better impeach Hassina and battle it out on Border. And belive me you will have ample support from around.

BSF has duty to protect our border. While not a angel -- you are YET to prove conclusively BSF as being the sole guilty party in the episodes so far. Yes, we can counter debate on all aspects of this .. but facts remains that had BSF been so guilty as being projected by your Media -- we dont see any steps being taken by your past/present government to being Justice.

Maybe bringing house in Order is needed first.

Yes, illegal movement of people do happen and maybe tolerated to some extent but not those of Smugglers... NO COUNTRY in world accepts that (Do enlighten us which country were you referring to) -- Specially with a country whose government harbored anti-india terrorists.

What do you propose should be done? .... believe the BD version of BSF Patsy? .. or have a independent inquiry on this border deaths?

Not the same .....

First : Here you assume BSF indeed is the sole guilty party... Do we have any joint investigation done which will be unbiased?
Second : Myanmar does not shelter Anti-BD terrorists - the way BD government did in the past for NE terrorists.
Third: Border infiltrators , if forewarned and aware of the consequences, cant be dealt in the same way as a mere trespassers. Again we dont know circumstances in which the deaths have occurred. So unless you have a unbiased investigation into this --- stop blaming everything on BSF.
