Dude, we understand some Hindi/Urdu words since the words and sentence structure are similar to Bangla. But reading and writing them is beyond 99.9% Bangladeshis.
Same with Pakistanis, 97% didn't know how to speak it. All of us had to learn it for the sake of unity. What made you so special?

Hahahahahahah :partay:
Forum rules .
I am just pointing out they always point out urdu was one of main reason to get separated.

Yep I have pointed out this irony to them myself....it goes nowhere good in the end. Just leave things to be I say...deep down reasonable people "get it"...and unreasonable people don't.

.
Pakistan at that time was ruled by a drunkard and prostitute goer. Mard e Momin Yahya Khan.
Still u know "hindi" what was point of independence due to language?
At the end of day u are speaking same language!!!!!!!

We don't speak the language, we understand it because of sanskrit root of both Bangla and Hindi, with numerous vocabulary and sentence construct being same.

Why you guys watch indian movies and listen to Indian songs day and night. You hate them more than anybody in the world, still watch their movies day and night, shameless people.

.
Writing too?
Btw we also can't read or write hindi as well
That's why you are not part of India and we are not part of either India or Pakistan.

That being said, A Pakistani would understand and speak Hindi than a Bengali and same for a Hindi speaking Indian speaking Urdu. But even if we try to speak Urdu, it sounds broken Hindi and others laugh at it. It's not a language for us. That does not mean we have to hate the language though. Urdu and Hindi are great language since so many people communicate with them. We just love our Bangla way too much.

Its true...I can converse with nearly all BD friends in Hindi, some speak it much better than I ever could. But they don't write or read it. In my case I can read it pretty well (since I learned Sanskrit semi-formally)...but I never developed any writing skill. I struggle even to write it using english letters etc actually....because I learned it well after I learned English.

We did not 'learn' hindi. We watched hindi movies and understand it.

With all your hate for India, why do your womenfolk watch Bollywood movies, serials and listen to hindi songs all the time?

Keep blabbering, Pakistani opinion matters zilch in BD. We will continue to do what we want and you do what you want. We can compare the results 20 years later.

Our entertainment industry is booming , our serials are known worldwide and are loved by alot of Indians so it works both ways. What movies/serials does BD produce?must be really crappy.

20 years?Your country is already an Indian satellite state. You are getting rattled by myanmmar and they invade your airspace at well. Your country will be a bigger joke in 20 years time.

Thsi shit has to be explained so many times. There is no need for a common language for unity, there is a very United amd prosperous nation right next door, India with many state languages. Besides, despite all your hate for India you imported an Indian language Urdu to make your state language, shameless people.

I don't want to get into debate. But what's wrong with wanting Bangla as an official language of Pakistan alongside Urdu? Many countries have more than one official language. That does not harm their unity.

You have jacshit of entertainment industry, all your artists are eager to go to India if given a chance. That Adnan Sami guy, son of an ace pilot in 65 went to India and accepted citizenship and dumped Pakistanicitizenship. You see even your highly revered war heroes want to betray you and go to India if money is shown.

Bla bla bla about the rest. We will surpass you in economic front and industrial front. You save this post and compare in twenty years.

Oooh, so cute, you are now feeling great izzat by stealing credit of Hindi movie industry and somehow inferring Bengalis understand urdu since they understand hindi. Doesn't it hurt your uzzat that you need to borrow the credit of your enemy to somehow feel good about yourself?

All BD people is probably a bit o stretch, I can understand hindi say almost 80% but can't speak. Many BD people are like that. But no BD people can read or write hindi or urdu except some people (maybe academics) who learned it for one reason or the other.

Also bd people understand the vernacular urdu because it is same as hindi. They won't understand proper urdu, not even 30%. I have tried to watch on YouTube urdu news a few times, gave up because I don't even understand 30% of it.

Pakistan has historically been innovators when it comes to entertainment. Be it traiblazers like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Nazia Hassan or Pop stars like Atif Aslam and many more. Our Serials are ratings success not only in India but around the world. BD on the other hand has always produced zero talent in every field. Be it shitty sports team that cant win anything at all or just being insignificant at the world stage.

First fix your capital city Dhaka which is probably the worst of all the capital cities to live in and then come and compare.

Yes proper Urdu is also quite difficult for me...it has lot of formal Persian words etc...I would have to commit to studying it to have a good chance.
