Those are the only option presented before them. Common mass are for changes. They flocked behind Mujib for a change.. then the flock behind Zia.. When Ershad came they even gone after him (most zia followers turned ershad folowers) etc. That is because they were presented an alternatives.

The most rigid part in our politics are the party inner circles. They want to maintain the status quot which automatically guarantee their survival.
