Bangladesh: Momen called on the United States to consider domestic policy

Tone it down, bro!

Toupee wala is an embarrassment!

As a Sylheti I feel especially embarrassed given our rich history with big moderate political leaders.

From Shah Jalal, Osmany, Saifur Rahman, Muhith, Kibria et al

I don’t want all this big talk!!!!

I don’t want to be at the end of American, Chinese or even Hinduvta vengeance!!!

Keep your head down and build a bloody needles factory!!

I get more joy from seeing a factory open than seeing a fighter jet over the sky!

Talk softly and carry a handbag!

You want some respect in this world then always turning the other cheek when others are directly interfering in your sovereignty is not the way to do it.

BD has started talking against India for the last 12-18 months and results achieved as India no longer feels it can patronise BD and act as a "big brother".

US has been sticking it's unwanted nose into BD affairs for far too long and it is high time that BD reminded USA of it's own issues.

Do you think that USA is doing BD any favours by taking 10 billion US dollars of exports this year? No it is just a mutually advantageous transaction.

Walton is now moving into the USA market in order to provided high quality products at lower prices than either S Korea or Japan. Again mutually advantageous relationship.

USA for all its faults would not want to end up having bad relations with BD as a country like BD will not be an insignificant player in the multi-polar world we shall see from the 2030s, with China as the 2nd superpower

Yes there is some risk at this public talk, but the USA is a declining power and there is no need for it to overreact to factful comments made about it from BD.

PS - Momen is talking with full clearance from Hasina and so this is BD government talking and not him.

I agree with everything you said and have a lot of respect for you.

And fully understand your frustration regarding being pushed around.

But we will only get respect when we deserve it. That means building fewer masques and more technical colleges.

Teach our kids to assemble stuff instead of getting them brainwashed with Wahhabi claptrap.

Islam is not a way of life rather it’s a part of your life.

No religion provides a way of life.

America is a super power in decline, Asia is the future.
Yes, you are right to say that the American military power is in decline and it is when that country’s military budget is only $3000 billion.

Can someone tell me what is the military budget of China or Russia or any single Asian country?

Yes, all other democratic countries should stop interfering with the autocracy in BD that will turn to another N. Korea but without any missile teeth and nor even the teeth of producing a pair of HT bolt.

You want America the leader of democracy should allow RAB to use naked force to intimidate the Opposition.

It failed in 1975 and will also fail in 2023. But, why do you fear a fair election? Is not Hasina Bibi the most popular leader in BD?

However, her popularity may be down now because not even a US Federal clerk wanted to meet her to hear her out.

Joy Hasina Bibi.
