Bangladesh military 57th most-powerful in the world

In any war BD would be pretty much short of Arty, against Myanmar, which is fielding 1000+ Towed and 100+ Sp Guns of all calibers.

In any war BD Army would be in comfortable position compared to Burmese Army. As they have more internal rebel conflicts to worry and Thailand is also one of their strong foe. MM cant concentrate all their Arty against BD at once where BD can, as BD's other threats are negligible. And MM wont be able to move all their heavy assets through Arakan Yoma which divides Arakan from Burma. Their heavy assets scattered around in a narrow area can be destroyed overnight with coordinated attacks.

Is that final word?
After fighting for many years with rebels,Myanmar Army has very Good Experience in hands when it cimes to fighting a battle. What Makes you think They won't be able to move any assets?Do they have no logistics in Area?Or No Border infrastructure necessary for Battle?

Not final word. BD army will be in comfortable position, only professed that. Their air force can change the scenario. Comparison was placed, based on your artillery assumption. BD wont get any superior hands from other places, thats also not spoken. The war scenarios are highly variable, geography need to considered. Decades of fighting rebels, still they didnt win against them. Fighting against bare foot rebels with AKs and full fledged army are different things.

You are not giving any chance to your opponent to escape with some dignity left.:cry:
vhaijaan, tell me what kind of defense analyst doesnt know about his own countrys capability??first he told me that we have no towed artillery guns..then i showed him those pictures..then after getting slapped,he again told me that those r not functional..then i posted those videos..then as usual he started talking about his conspiracy theories rona dhona..r akhn beguni'r er sathe dui tin da chamcha reo jutaite parse..:lol:..awami league to khrp,ei chhagol er 3 no. er bachcha gula tar chaiteo khrp beshii...."submarine duiba gese,r tula jabe naa.."

20000 army personnels send much more remittances than you . They send halal money not Haram money that yellow journalists earn from various anti bangladeshi NGOs.
And for your original post I believe you don't deserve any reply .

According to the link Myanmar has 516,000 military personal and Bangladesh has 225,000. If 3.2 billion USD's most of it goes to salary then with more then double personal what portion of the budget goes to the salary for personals?

Myanmar:

Bangladesh:

Can anyone tell me what is the salary of the rag tag army of Myanmar? Their personals looks short, weak and physically unfit and inferior to Bangladeshi counterparts!!

@Aung Zaya

Bro, can you answer as to how much Barman soldier earns?

Two sources and from both of them we can safely assume that Maynmar fields well above or round about 1000 Arty Pieces of All types.

Their air force can change the scenario.
There Air Force is pretty much over rated as of today, there A2G capabilities are Questionable. But with induction of JF-17 they would pretty much able to smash Bangladeshi Forces from stand-off range, induction of 6 Su-30MkM are likely to change scenerio in there favour (http://tass.com/defense/986222)
As of today, there AF isn't a threat to Bdesh, with good combo of SAM's and Interceptors or carrying out Spec Op raids on Airbases BD can pretty much deny them advantge. But Induction of Su-30 and JFT would change sitution in there favour.Currently they don't have any Stand-off weapon in there arsenal, but that's about time.
Decades of fighting rebels, still they didnt win against them. Fighting against bare foot rebels with AKs and full fledged army are different things.
Most of Myanmar Rebel factions are well armed and have budget of Million dollars, which is pretty much enough to sustain a Guerrilla fight in Jungles of Burma. All of them are backed by foreign powers, and that's how they keep Myanmar incheck. They only poorly armed and faction without any support is ARSA.
They have several Political reasons for not going for full scale operation.

Those victory day parades' pictures you see them posting - that's for victory against Pakistan. And last I checked, weren't they doing economically better than you?
Victory is only kiddo when, enemy has been totally destroyed and is only found in stories or books,we are pretty much around, riding nerves of our arch enemies. There victory:coffee:

Global fire power does not provide any break down of list nor it provide any source of their info. Many of their information got from wikipedia and CIA Factbook. Both of which are not much credible. IISS is the most authoritative source of military equipment along with SIPRI.If two sets of information clash, you can always choose IISS and SIPRI above anything else.

Asia Pecific Defence Reporter? Who ever heard about this website? Just look at the web pages of it. It is totally shit !! Very poor quality and contents. You perhaps dug out this obscure website from the garbage heap of internet.Compare this with the 500 pages information dense IISS military balance yearbook published every year by the most respected military research institute in the world.
