So it means the achievement of these students is a national one, not a private one.

Private university students are better compared to the public university students.

Government funded private university projects are much better and sophisticated than public university projects.

Ps. Isn't Dhaka university still one of the best in BD?

Well there are 2 sides to it. My brother in law graduated in med from DU and is now a top 30 consultant in America. The other graduated from sher-e-bangla uni also in med and passed the PLAB in UK on his first go. So they can't be that bad, in fact I have a lot of respect for DU students.

On the other hand I know many friends of theirs from private universities who can't even pass the IELTs language exams.

Lol, yes he's the oldest in the family after my parents.

Actually Medical colleges are affiliated with a public universities say Dhaka university, Rajshahi university, Chittagong University and SUST Sylhet, under the Dean of Faculty of Medicine. And certificates are given by respective university according to geographical location.
I myself studied in SBMC, Barisal and certified from DU.
This is true for private medical also.
But all posts graduate courses were brought under BSMMU.

I believe the mission of SPARRSO is (according to Wiki),

"space and remote sensing technology, in the field of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Geology, Cartography, Water Resources, Land use, Weather, Environment, Geography, Oceanography, Science, Education, science-based Knowledge and other related space research areas. It also perform research activities for developing this technology and its practical application."

In other words, use of foreign satellites for remote sensing, GIS type uses to help agriculture and fishery yields by providing that information to the fishery dept. and Ministry of Agriculture, among others.

They are a remote sensing organization, not a satellite launch regulator or partner, as far as I know.

Since Bangabandhu-1 is a communications satellite - they have no involvement with it since that satellite has no remote sensing feature.

Maybe when we get a remote sensing satellite, our own eye-in-the-sky, then we can involve SPARRSO to parse the results, which is where their skillset lies.

I guess they could at least be involved in the launching of the satellite since that goes with two of their working divisions:

• Rocket Technology Development Division
  
  
• Space Physics & Rocket Dynamics Division

But I agree, a remote sensing or earth-observation satellite would have secured greater involvement of SPARRSO.

I guess the time has not come yet for rocket dynamics for peaceful uses. The military folks may be leading the way on this (Tactical SRBM) but we shall see.
