Bangladesh eyes 5G in 2020

In many ways, India relies on Chinese technology

You are quite ahead in electronics, that's granted but there is little 'reliance' on you otherwise.

Rail traffic

Actually these are somewhat smaller contracts (Nagpur etc) & Chinese firms win by undercutting others in price...That doesn't mean that Indian manufacturers of the same are out of business...

1920 Cars out of 2140 Cars for DMRC Phase-I, II & III projects we're manufactured in India.

Bombardier India exports 450 suburban carriages to Australia

Alstom India is exporting 132metro cars to Sydney

BEML's 1432 crore deal to supply 150 metro carriages for Bangaloremetro

Kolkata metro to receive 84 metro carriages from BEML

Alstom supplying 80 cars toLucknow metro (after completing Kochi contract for 75 cars)

And three more plants are in the pipeline for producing metro rakes alone...Mandatory clause for local manufacture in future projects will make it difficult for Chinese firms unless they set shop here...

Renewable energy

Again that's electronics and all... But there is a good tendency of localization, given the push for solar energy in India (100 GW by 2022)

Engineering equipment.

Oh come on, someone else could have made them in India if it wasn't for Sany. Maybe Tata Hitachi or JCB or TIL...

India certainly does not rely on imports for construction machinery.

Delhi metro escalator also comes from the Chinese company

There are a lot of companies which manufacture the same in India. Of course you won a global tender, does that mean India has no capability to make the same ? No.

India's B??? Missile is a copy of the Chinese missile(sorry, I forgot its name).

India should be more grateful to us. Because we help India missiles reach Turkey level!

I mean like, what BS is this exactly ??

5 cents a GB? shit, thatss like 3 rupees for 1GB. thats mighty cheap. How much does one have to pay for 1 megabit of bandwidth in india?
May be he is partly right . As I am enjoying 12 taka /gb with 2 hours validity with Robi internet .
Check *999# if you are eligible for this offer.
But probably in India may be it's not regular offer I think ,but not sure . He can inform us.

Wireless Internet is a bit expensive in Bangladesh. But broadband is really really cheap. An user can get a 4Mbps line by paying only 1k bdt per month and the good thing is most these plans don't have any fup.

So the most popular plan if Rs459 (roughly 7 Dollars) and you get 2 GB per day for 3 months.

I have two homes. 1 in Delhi and 1 in Bangalore. Delhi Airtel 160 GB per month 40 MBps Rs 750 per month. Bangalore 350 GB per month 150 MBPS RS 2200 per month.

These are public plans. You can google them.

Bombardier, Alstom, Hitachi... Well, it's very good. No brand belongs to India. Because India's main technology comes from abroad, so Indians think Chinese products are cheap?

Ahem, don't make me post how you 'acquired' technology for your HSR/metro rolling stock. There is an Indian company BEML which does the same- not much difference there...

Oh? India also has technology?

Now India railway technology reaches the Kenya level???

. . .
You lack the basic industry

India had been making (non-hsr) locomotives, coaches & trainsets for decades.

Presently making our own higher speed trainset (180-200 kph) which will soon roll out...

Reported for derailing topic...as usual. Please read the thread title again....

you psychic skills need rejigging. Nor India nor any other country has any other country has a large scale deployed 5G network. A lab test is not a deployed network.

Just FYI India has greater per capita data consumption than China. India has 250 Million 4g users with 89 pc population coverage. with data prices 5 cents a GB.

And moreover Jio the largest 4g telecom provider just announces Cisco as the winner of a 10 B$ expansion over the next 2 years. Huawei needs to work hard to catch up. Indian market is not the Chinese maket where it can take advantage of protectionism in the name of censorship and take advantage of cost arbitrage. It needs to compete in terms of technology.

All this technology leadership and still can't build basic flex motherboards for cellphones using surface-mount components like we do in Bangladesh. Still importing Chinese parts to make basic smartphones in India.

What is the limit of this Bharti BS??

Have some shame...

No, I didn't talk about HSR, that's what you can't understand. You lack the basic industry.

I'm talking about the India and Kenya railways.

This is quite off topic so I respectfully request for you to open a new thread and discuss it there.

Which your buddy @Two didn't ?

Indian mobile manufacturers & foreign firms with manufacturing operations in India have already established SMT assembly lines.

Oldies like Samsung & Nokia had been doing it in India for decades...

Don't boast too much about 'Walton', we know how it performs.
