Bangladesh eyes $1b from tourism

Al-Zakir has many beautiful photographs of Bangladesh. He is requested to upload a few of them. It is a beautiful country. Foreigner tourists do not really come to a tourist destination to see big buildings. Nor do they like to stay in 5 star hotels. They like to enjoy the countryside, life style and hospitality of the people.

One of the big problems is the security of foreigners, specially the women. So, until the safety of tourists are ensured tour AGENTS in the foreign countries will not recommend Bangladesh as tourist destination.

EW bro, how been you doing??

On topic:- I think the main problem is from the concerned authority. We can earn a lot through tourism but i feel, we lack the ability to market ourselves to the world.

Cheers!!!

No, don't think this problem really exist now. IMO Bangladesh is now the safest country to visit in south Asia. Yes, they would be treated as 'rockstars' like everyone will be eyeing on them and try to have a chat with them which some times becomes really annoying, but that too in the rural areas, not in the big cities and tourist spots.

BTW, want to upload some photos here, can anyone tell me the process??

I have no problem with tourist, and I want tourist to come. But in one condition, they have to show respect to the dress code we follow. I am not saying exactly like us just not bikinis, swimsuits or yoga pants things like that.

No matter who is visiting the country, they have to show respect to our culture and believes and as far as I have managed to interact with some foreigners here, they really enjoy to embrace our culture while visiting Bangladesh, but I think we should allow them to practice what they want (according to our law) in some exclusive areas, 'Exclusive Tourist Zones' as described by the government.

That was my favorite cartoon character during my childhood... was mad to watch it on BTV in 1990s ... though now even do not turn that channel on even by mistake... :P.... all those golden days are lost...

I used to watch as well. Haha i used to have a huge "cartoon crush" on the blonde girl with the power of wind.

On topic: "exclusive tourist zones" will only create social problems for us bangladeshis

good luck to BD. with more development, people will begin to notice you more and will want to know more. best wishes from fellow south asian

This is the theme songs....

I think you were referring to linka...:P... anyway its not surprising that you had a crush with blonde linka... after coming to Canada and initially staying 9 months with 5 canadian girls among them 2 were blonde :P on my 1st year I have realized why people have so affection for the blonde... as they are hawt, sexy and gorgeous specially their hair, eyes and .... are mind blowing.... Ohhh I still miss my 1st year here in Canada and just ponder why I have changed the dorm just to save some bucks ...:S

But sad part is that these sexy pieces are good as girl friend not as wife/long term partner. In this summer one my friend in Montreal spent lots of money to manage one blonde as gf but in winter she left my friend... and now he has realized at last he will have to eat deshi chicken...:P

You @ UofA, sami? Undergrad/Grad?

Btw, since my first year here, I never felt the slightest attraction for blonde girls (or white girls in general). I like hot desi, persian & arab girls only. :P

Oh, what was the topic again? :D
