More on point, Internet use penetration itself in Pakistan is quite low percentage-wise compared with Bangladesh (and you are probably right - it has something to do with literacy rates).

FALSE, 18% vs 13% (actual permeation use rate) BD literally has 1/3rd actual permeation to its frontier claim by BTRC "one IP = distinct subscriber" nonsense.

Bangladesh percentage-wise has much higher cellphone penetration, which is a well-regarded secret.

I could give you what this guy actually has posted (astonishingly negative tirades and foul mouthedness, and thats coming from an Indian).....about Pakistan, Pakistanis, your military, your economy etc when he isnt in sycophant mode (and then calling Pakistanis who defend themselves as "bharti" false flaggers ....and then runs to mods to cry and complain when they hit back)....but only if you are interested to know about that (say in the whatever thread), because it will take way too long. I used to play a video game name order and chaos 2.
There is a place named abyss of silence in the map sunken hollows.
It is one of those pvp area when players were able to slay another player and it was also the place of gold farming.
The real problem is a player always used to play the gold farming daily questions with a team that was not only absurd but also sometimes peoples laughed on his back. He played with team only because he was unable to counter any unwanted threat from other guild members. So if he is in team and the team mates with his friends of another guild, he always teamed with them because they will not only save him but also won't be able to hit him mistakenly as team mates can't hit even if they are from another guild.
Even that man requested a team in order to counter a single player who had lowers gear score than him!! He just never wanted to lose, lol.

Your posts really remind me the memory of him. . Do you see.the abyss of silence in Bangladesh sub forum.

Having 4G when majority people can't really use it cheaply (you need low tariff rates) is pointless.

How many are watching serial movies and shows on cellphones with the high tariff rates? Plus 4G speeds are really low in the subcontinent compared to say US, Korea, Japan.

For eligibility some one can check dialing *999#. I use the data offer, speed are excellent ( except 6 pm to 12 am is half because of high traffic). Before that long time I used 6 gb/weekly by recharging only 94 BDT (1 gb main and 5 gb bonus), not sure if still exist or not as I don't use other packages since I have 30gb /month. But 4 gb weekly with 179 BDT is a common offer.

Honestly you can't learn about Bangladeshi mobile operators by browsing there sites, unless you are regular user. And also most if time operators ( specialy Robi) send sms to specific Sims fir various offers.

1. Neither does india, i might add. But it is true that we are very late to the electroics manufacturing 'party' . Only recently we have started to assemble/manufacture (whatever suits you) so, wish us luck, i guess?

2. Touché. Internet prices are still relatively expensive here. In fact a week ago Teenagers from a local tech related group in BD started messging relience jio's page en masse, requesting them to start their operations in BD.

But i gotta ask, how is it that jio can financially sustain selling bandwidth so cheap?


EDIT: That being said, the prices are going down. One can easily buy 1GB of data at around 90TK incl. tax. And occasionally they give out lucrative offers, sch as 2 GB for around 40 BDT

Jio has INR 149 (approx 195 TK) for 42 GB ; 1.5 GB per day for 28 days.

4 GB weekly @ 179 TK will be 16 GB for 28 days @ 716 TK. Unless you just want to use internet for 1 week.

You can get way more than that for 195 TK easily in Jio.

You know what is the biggest cause of high cost of bandwidth? One is undersea cable. Another is peering fees. Reliance has its own undersea cable terminating at mumbai AFAIK. And being a bigger company it sometimes dictates peering fees.

There is no problem. Only that it is way way cheaper than that with Jio. 42 GB for 28 days = 10.5 GB per week that too for 195 / 4 = 48.75 TK.

Well the price is for 3g data, and probably our operator will reduce price too for 4g, as when 3g started, they reduced price and also increased package size considerably because 3g(h+) is extremely faster than 2g ( EDGE), so data usage should be much higher .
However 4g is just launched and its not covering all parts of BD atm, but I believe it in few months all will get. However that time probably they will reduce price ( like they reduced for 3g), but we have no other option but to wait untill they reduce price.

which village is that? Which ISP are you using? 3 mbps at 1000 BDT is relativly cheap,especially considering the fact that it is a rural area.
