Again even if BD is buying missiles from Russia, there would be lots of corroborative articles. Articles in Russia or Ukraine, financial trail,.US monitoring etc etc. Haven't seen anything.

Bangladesh already confirmed purchase of TRG-300 and being the launch customer of VT-5 tank. But i don't think any int'l sources have reported it yet. As i said earlier BD military officials don't reveal too much infos, so don't rely on int'l sources too much. As for the previous news link i shared, it was not to prove that BD is buying ballistic from Russia but the initiative it took to get one. Read carefully, the line clearly mentions that Russia is only offering their missile not the other way around. If Myanmar buys S-400, it won't go unanswered.

Oh boy where do I start.

During Pakistan times, the majority of Naval yards were set up in East Pakistan. Khulna Shipyard and half a dozen shipyards in Chittagong date from Pakistan times.

Our naval yards are way larger in number and capabilities than those in Pakistan, as far as I know. This is not an empty boast, it is fact.

The shipyards in Dhaka (near Narayanganj) are smaller in area but date from British times.

If you visit the industrial infra thread in this subforum (sticky) you will see some, but here are some. Projects built in Bangladesh are more often than not very specialized in the sense they are either faster vessels or specialized vessels (ICE class or SOLAS types).

To start with a few examples, let's focus on private yards and their products. Western Marine (private yard) in Chittagong received an order for 10 8000 DWT vessels (intra coast bulk carriers) from Jindal Steel in India, they delivered 4 already.

WMS built SOLAS vessel for New Zealand to Fiji route about 4/5 years ago

WMS Built Waterjet equipped fast OPV 'Doria' (54m LOA, 35 knots) for Kenyan Govt.

Those who refute science that coronavirus will affect hot countries less after repeatedly having it explained to them will be called out as they rightfully should.

I said that countries like BD will get off more lightly due to climate and I have now been vindicated. Of course weather was one of many factors why BD has been relatively unscathed.

It was very depressing a month ago or more constantly hearing the doom and gloom merchants predicting a mass slaughter in BD by now, when they just needed to see the simple fact of hot climate and younger /healthier population that will give BD a degree of resistance to the virus.

My advice is if you do not know, try and at least be open minded when someone who knows a bit more than you spending their time trying to educate you rather than pretending you know more.

I actually went through 10 pages of nothing looking for some corroborated media articles for this news before making this comment. There was none. So where was the evidence you told?
The article is about BD developing Ballistic missile themselves.
To be honest I would have believed if it had come from any other source other than BD military. They are Indian version of IDRW.
They Infact told BD Airforce is buying every jet in the planet except F22.

I again clarify that it's not like I do not want BD to develop missiles or against them buying it. Just pointing out that the quoted site has a poor hit rate.

Buying BM is not neglectable news and can pose significant threat to neighbouring. If BD is really buying BM from Russia, other media especially Russian media will cover this news.
