What's new

Bangladesh developing tactical ballistic missile

UP to you guys If you believe it or not but many of their posted news has become true including earlier reporting of 6 Indigenous Frigates by Bangladesh Navy!
Atleast I believe every word. Sooner or later we will make many military equipment I hope. Perhaps we need help of our allies for technology.
But we will make. If pakistan and India can make aircraft ,we also can .

lol @ bsf comment.

Hope that all non-BD posters can now see that BD is building a formidable military as per "Forces Goal 2030", that Indian, Burmese and one Indonesian troll were making fun of last year.
One Indian clown here ( in another post) abused me by saying that bangladesh will never be the rival of India ( when I claimed that )because they ( we ) only can cry.
I don't understand why indian are too much proud? They are proud of their big country ,and big population!
They don't understand that most European countries are too small yet too much developed.
What make them neglect bangladesh I have no idea.
And in this forum a so called jamati version pretend to be anti indian and tagged everyone as Indian Dalal, yet he post everything against bangladesh.
It amazed me alot.Too much confused about who are really pro Indian or anti indian here!

If you are a Bengali - then should you be pandering to Hindi spelling (Vajra) ?

As Bangladeshis - we pronounce it Bajra. Our missile, our language. End of story.

And yeah that attempt of a joke was pretty lame....

there is a difference between B and V pronunciation lol
It's Bajra/ বজ্র in Bengali, Lightning in English. Learn to google and use google translate properly. Or ask us before posting lame joke.
wat made you ppl think I dint know it was vajra? Suppose wat if a phoren guy searched for your so called bajra .

Setting up an aircraft design, development and manufacturing is involved, but can be done.

Pakistan collaborated with the Chinese and other Western firms a few years ago at no small expense. It was a priority for them given US had embargoed their paid-for F-16's.

Indians (HAL) started with aircraft repair shops (for C-46's and Packets) left at Bengaluru and Kanpur by the USAAF in WWII. Also Indians spent a boatload of money in the 60's trying to develop their supersonic fighter (Marut).

Driven by Nehru's philosophy of self-reliance, plus a desire to strengthen India's nonaligned ties, Indians collaborated with Egypt in building a modern jet fighter, the HF-24 (Marut). Expatriate German designers (including Kurt Tank of Messerschmidt fame) designed the plane but it fell short and Indians looked for a replacement by assembling the MiG-21 series.

More on topic, Indian tactical ballistic missile development started in the 60's. They did not get where they are in months or years. It may take us considerably less time to get to India's level however, provided that we commit funds and resources to it.

I will simplify this for you. It's not who is Pro or Anti-Indian. I could really care less. You are paying too much attention to Indian 'attention whore' trolls. 'Ignore' them by going to those peoples' profiles.

It's about who is Pro or Anti-Bangladeshi (regardless of label, too many false-flaggers here).

If you are FOR Bangladesh' peace, prosperity, progress and development, you are pro-Bangladeshi in my book, regardless of political label or flag...

I myself don't really care about petty Bangladeshi faction-ism or politics - I care more about,
  1. How people at a grassroots level are being fed and housed with living-wage jobs and (more importantly in this forum)
  2. How our defense readiness is being modernized and kept up-to-date.
  3. How advances in military technology (like tactical missile development - the subject of this thread) is being conducted regularly.
Whichever Bangladeshi leader does these three things, then I am fine with supporting their administration.

Ah well explained! I always hold that pro bangladesh position, just couldn't explain myself so nicely .
Unfortunately in Bangladesh it's very hard to maintain the right position (pro bangladesh imho) ,as most are pro indian ( current chetona awami version) and ,anti indian ( others ) , and atleast I mean that about such peoples. First group will try to insult you( by tagging you as jamati) if you go against India ,and another group will tagg you as Indian dalal if you even apriciate any good work of India . In short you can't be neutral in bangladesh atm.
Well they can be ignored I agree with you.

It may take us considerably less time to get to India's level however, provided that we commit funds and resources to it.
Yes I believe we will be the main rival/opposite of India in more or less than 20+ years,I hope . Just we need a stable government.
So i love to ignore so called democracy and strongly support this military backed awami government.

PS. I can't prove my claim about this military back up.
But I heard some prophecy about this backing from someone ( indeed he is not amateur/common like me) ,and surprisingly every prophecy came true.
Bnp became paper team already , awami league prevailed ( maybe eye washing , yet the prophecy has come true).
I just can calculate one thing , the same one-sided election we saw in 15 February 1996 ( I was even not adult that time, less than 18 years old ), that government fall so easily. Current government is celebrating 9th years.
But perhaps this is not to talk in open forum, as any claim demand evidences.
BTW, whatever is the truth I don't want too see another 1/11 and also don't want to see a other 2014-15 petrol bomb terrorism.
I am extremely happy that bangladesh can develop faster if no such unrest happen again .
So in order to control such unrest every decision of army Intelligence is more than welcome from me as a bangladeshi citizen .

Bangladesh at a smaller scale is definitely an economic rival of India in some sectors and will be as we grow our backward linkage capabilities. Right now -
  1. Our labor cost is lower than theirs and
  2. We have trade advantages especially in American and European markets, also,
  3. Because of our smaller size and lack of red tape we are a much more agile competitor
As far as becoming military rivals, we will have a hard time doing this because of their larger size, in-house defense technology capabilities and much deeper pockets. However when our living standards and economy improves (India's will as well) we will have many more options for off-the-shelf defense technology which have been hitherto unavailable even when we don't have in-house capability.

For now - the best option is to follow 'constructive diplomacy' with India instead of immature belligerance. Stay the course and 'handle' Indians as it behooves our interests. I'm sure they will follow the same path as it is in their interest as well.

Needless conflict and instability helps no one. Bangladesh is now at a place where it does not want to play to be anyone's pawn. The larger powers (India and China) are beginning to understand this fact.

Right so we have some good opportunities in future, we just need stability and need a bangladesh free from political unrest in order to maintain this pace .

Politicians hardly think about our country, yet in this so called cheerleading democratic world ,they are the boss. Sadly western world don't realize that our politicians don't have minimum standard.

Well yes it's a bitter truth. But in future we can be at least like pakistan ? can't we be like them ?
Look we have 170 million population, almost same as pakistan, and our economy is increasing.
So can't we at least be as strong as pakistan in order to counter India ?
I know our military is great and world class but we lack logistics/ equipment.
So if we can at least get logistics in Pakistan armed forces standard, I think it will be enough in future.
Yes it's a bitter reality that we can't compete India when buying military equipment ,because of it's economy.
It's GDP is huge and will grow even bigger because of their 1.3 billion peoples.

Yes compl agree with this part. Needless conflict will only harm us. I just want us to be prepared.
