Bangladesh Cuisine & Restaurants

Whats a Pakistani restaurant? What type of food? I doubt it considering the history, anyone would name their venture as pakistani.

Whats a Pakistani restaurant ? You are kidding right ? UK is filled with Pakistani restaurants and cuisine . There might be more Pakistani restaurants in UK than Indian restaurants .

It's one of the most popular cuisines in the world . Too many cuisines to count . I thought you guys might have a few since you have a significant bihari population .

Like I said which, business man would open a pakistani eatarie in Dhaka? Yeah we have them here in Ilford, but im asking what foods constitute pakistani in your opinion? We might have those dishes but doubtful anyone would name the outlet as pakistani, unless he or she has a lot of fire insurance.

I like your answer :D . But why so much support for Pakistan cricket team then ? There are loads of Pakistani flags in Dhaka during any cricket match . How much of the population would you say is anti- Pakistan ?

....That actually had very little to do with pakistan, we just knew it would piss off the indians!!!, the government etc.

Heres a ball park view...

AL supporters who are aged 60+, tend to be pro indian and anti pakistani regardless of what happens because they lived through the liberation struggle and have a vested interest.....slowly they are becoming less and less.

AL supporters who are aged 40 or below, have very little recolection about the events of 71 and before so, they tend to be pragmatic, leaning more towards China, USA, EU, ASEAN, India and Japan but have no real allegience.

BNP supporters who are aged 60+, lean more towards pakistan, but only slightly and when it suits them, for politcal gain...again these are a generation thats coming to an end of their line.

BNP supporters aged 40 or below, tend to Support China and are mostly anti-Indian...

ALL OTHERS don't care less about either countries, and support for pakistan varies depending on age, region, religion, political leaning ect etc etc.

'Chows' is mostly Cantonese cuisine I think - posters from China please correct me if I'm wrong.

My take on the Grandiose Restaurant is that this is a traditional place you take your mom and dad and have a nice time with your family. This is no place for avant garde cuisine or culinary adventures. Yet - it has its place....

Now for the PR copy......

('Grandiose Restaurant' is Dhaka Regency's multi-cuisine restaurant.

Grandiose has recently undergone a makeover. The entire place has been redone in a contemporary style. The menu comprises both buffet and a la carte. Dishes from all around the globe are featured on the menu. Foods to satiate every palate is available, making it a multi cuisine restaurant in the true sense.

The restaurant sports a completely new look since the face lift. One can have a view of the activity below from a window seat and can also take in the silhouettes of the Dhaka skyline at dinnertime. Stylish woodwork is another feature of the place.

The restaurant has two segments: one for formal dining and the other for lounging. 'Grandiose', in its new setting is truly a grand affair at the Dhaka Regency.)
