Meet the top-of-the-line Metal Shark 38 Defiant. A reliable all-weather vessel boasting the all the durability and innovative features of its smaller Defiant siblings, in a wave-crushing 38-foot hull designed and built to tame heavy seas with ease.

The 38 Defiant was designed for law enforcement, port security, and military use. An 11’ 5” beam allows for a roomy cockpit and cabin, as well as extra stability while at rest. Put the throttles down, and up to 900 horsepower launch the 38 Defiant into immediate hot pursuit.

The 38 Defiant’s massive aluminum pilothouse provides comfort and security for the entire crew, regardless of conditions. A spacious helm can easily accommodate a wide array of custom-installed electronics, and superb visibility is afforded by the many spacious, opening windows. Numerous seating options, ample dry storage, and available climate control combine to afford a high level of crew comfort.

On-water boarding is facilitated thanks to Metal Shark’s oversized, impact-absorbing, foam-filled urethane collar. Dive operations are enhanced via an available tubular aluminum transom platform with an integrated, retractable dive ladder.

Like other Defiant models, the 38 is available in bow cockpit and cuddy cabin models. Both feature non-skid floors and wide gunnels to provide sure footing from bow to stern.. A full-height transom provides security, and oversized 6” scuppers assure a fully self-bailing cockpit.

1) Post #1 speaks of 3 metal shark boats from the USA to be used to carry patients/doctors. These are meant for treatment.

2) Post #3 speaks of 6 metal shark boats from the USA to be used by the Coastal Guard of Bangladesh. These are for the security in the sea.

So, in total the Govt of the USA has given to or sold us a total of 9 metal shark boats this month.

Hope, you will appreciate the US delivery of such a large number of Defender class boats, the largest to any country.

In the largest delivery of coastguard boats to a nation, US donated 16 defender vessels to Bangladesh navy to enhance its counter terrorism capacity and secure maritime boundary.

US has their needs here, we should get as much stuff as possible from them.

If the stuffs include these boats which we can better make ourselves, then definitely we are losing out on the 'need-give' deal. But once we come out of this gift-taking zone and request to buy something 'real'..there we would be honored with their amazing strings!

Funny how sometimes diplomacy works with them.

Cheers!!!

Get ready to meet their needs when they demand getting stuffs as much as possible now.

What of the US needs BD should meet just by receiving only 16 defender class and 9 metal shark class small boats when the country needs hundreds of them?

BN's immediate military requirement must be met with boats from foreign sources. BD is certainly capable to make these stuffs. Click the link below:
