If GoI ever wants to take over Bangladesh, first protest will come from Indians themselves.

BD is safe as long as they keep exporting hilsa to us!

I think, your idea that we are worried of being taken over by big brother is childish and does not reflect the reality. India certainly cannot take over Bangladesh from outside by military force. But, it can use our country's internal organs to dominate over it.

We want a fight, if needed. But, our main worry is a control through inside. This is one reason we do not really want Indian conglomerates in our country with billions of dollars in their purse.

Why to foster a military relationship with China? A militarily strong Bangladesh is needed to offset an Indian design when at a precarious moment India asks BD to demilitarize itself. India will dictate its terms on a weak BD. BD is following a realistic approach by getting arms, tanks, planes and frigates from China.

BD does not have to be at par with India. But, a stronger military itself is a source of tension for India. The thread article reflects that uneasiness. India lost in SL's proxy LTTE war against the integrity of that country. Everyone is watching India's rtelationship with countries like Nepal and Bhutan.

By the way, do you guys know that Bhutan has requested BD govt to allow its Syedpur airport as its gateway to the world? Let us see how the most hated big DADA reacts to this proposal.

@ So, Abir Babu, you are very much fond of Hilsa ?

@ "Ilish tu r nai, sob tu apnara niagachen, ekhon ja ecta doita ache amader khete den, hazar holeo mache bhate bangalee"

Have money, eat Hilsa!

Demand and supply.

Enough of all this, now get back to building the railway line to Bangladesh and pacify the Myanmar Govt to allow you to do so.

Sending naval ships when Myanmar wants to drill for oil does not help!
