So much for "We stand with our Bengali Brothers"
@haviZsultan @PaklovesTurkiye @shah1398

Didnt i tell you this soft policy of ours is going to be taken for granted and not win hearts. Once a back stabber always a backstabber. Do you gentlemen agree now?

Meray bhai I did mention that BD Govt and Media both are controlled by India and that is why we have seen this news first emerging in Indian media. I would again say that this has got nothing to do with majority of common Bengali as they themselves are against current govt pro India policy. Nonetheless the more their govt deny the reality the more such blows are bound to occur there.

DHAKA: Bangladesh on Sunday blamed "homegrown" Islamist terrorists and Pakistan's spy agency ISI for the country's worst terror attack in which 20 hostages were hacked to death, ruling out the role of the Islamic State, as the shocked nation began observing two days of national mourning.

"Let me clear it again, there are no ISIS or al-Qaida presence or existence in Bangladesh ... the hostage-takers were all home-grown terrorists not members of ISIS or any other international Islamist outfits," home minister Asaduzzaman Khan said.

"We know them (hostage-takers) along with their ancestors, they all grew here in Bangladesh ... they belong to homegrown outfits likeJMB (Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh) ," he said.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the killing of the hostages, mostly foreigners, and two police officers during an 11-hour siege that ended on Saturday after the army stormed the Holey Artisan Bakery popular with expats in the diplomatic zone here, killing six attackers and capturing one alive.

Hossain Toufique Imam, the political adviser toPrime Minister Sheikh Hasina , said that the way in which the hostages were killed with machetes suggests the role of a local terrorist group, the banned Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen.

"Pakistan's ISI and Jamaat connection is well known ... they want to derail the current government," Imam told a TV channel.

The arrested terrorist chickened out at the last minute and he holds the key to crucial details, he said.

Hostages who were killed include 19-year-old Indian girl Tarishi Jain . Nine Italians, 7 Japanese, one American of Bangladeshi origin, and two Bangladeshis were also among the people who were killed.

Most of those killed were found with their throats slit.

Among those rescued were Indian, Sri Lankan and Japanese nationals, media reports said. Around 30 people were injured.

A police source was quoted as saying by the Dhaka Tribune that all the attackers were Bangladeshi nationals aged between 20 and 28.

Police said the attackers were well-educated and most came from rich families.

"All of them were students and communicated at the crime scene in both Bengali and English," the police source said.

The government has consistently ruled out the presence of the dreaded terror group in the Muslim-majority nation though experts have been maintaining that series of brutal attacks on minorities and secular activists had the hallmarks of ISIS group.

Meanwhile, police have released the photos of the six gunmen killed during the raid by commandos. A seventh was arrested and is being interrogated by Bangladeshi intelligence officers.

Police chief AKM Shahidul Hoque said five of the dead gunmen were listed as militants and police had been looking for them.

Police identified them as Akash, Bikash, Don, Bandhon, and Ripon.

Bangladeshi media reports said that after US-based SITE Intelligence Group published photos of five gunmen holding assault rifles who, the Islamic State claims, killed the hostages, former classmates have started identifying by posting their old pictures on social media.

Warning "crusader countries" that their citizens would not be safe "as long as their aircraft are killing Muslims", the ISIS also posted pictures of four fighters, who it said were involved in the attack, smiling in front of a black flag of the outfit.

According to the reports, three of the five attackers have so far been identified by their friends.

The gunmen did a background check on religion of the captives by asking them to recite Quranic verses and tortured those who could not do so.

Announcing a two-day state mourning for those killed in the worst terror attack in the country, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina vowed to do everything to eliminate terrorists from the country and asked extremists to stop killing in the name of religion.

She asked all, including the general public, to get united to resist a "handful of terrorists".

The national flag was lowered at half mast as the country began two-day mourning period.

Pakistan's ISI suspected of link to Bangladesh attack: Top official to NDTV VIDEO

The deadly terror attack on Dhaka which saw 20 hostages hacked to death at a cafe on Friday night was likely enabled by Pakistan's powerful ISI or military spy agency, a top official told NDTV today. Hossain Toufique Imam is the political advisor to Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. HT Imam told NDTV that the manner in which the hostages, which included 19-year-old Indian student Tarishi Jain, were killed with machetes suggests the role of a local terrorist group, the banned Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen.

Its unfair to adopt tit for tat policy among the weak segment of our society .They came Pakistan to earn some money and feed their families back home. Being Muslim they deserve respect as long as they are not hurting the state.

. .
Since Bangladesh government is not taking serious with ISIS threat, then Bangladesh is goner. There is nothing Pakistan can do to convince otherwise. ISIS that plagued Middle East with terrorism is a joke to Bangladesh which shows Bangladesh is fast becoming next Afghanistan. The same Afghanistan is being used as platform for terrorism and blamed on Pakistan, likewise Bangladesh is following the same receipt disaster. The only winner in this game is India while Bangladesh and Afghanistan are getting duped big time. :(

Its unfair to adopt tit for tat policy among the weak segment of our society .They came Pakistan to earn some money and feed their families back home. Being Muslim they deserve respect as long as they are not hurting the state.

Besides, they are not sheltering terrorists in Pakistan nor damaging Pakistan economy. Unlike Afghan refugees, but not all, Bengalis do contribute to Pakistan economy. And they are patriot and they are grateful for the opportunity.

Police have found evidence of the terror links of a Pakistani diplomat, according to documents available with bdnews24.com.

Some Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) activists recently arrested in Dhaka have blown the lid off these clandestine links during their interrogations, the documents relating to police investigation show.

At least one JMB radical has testified to these links in a judicial confession.

Fareena Arshad

Pakistan High Commission's Second Secretary (political) Fareena Arshad is said to be involved with the Islamist radicals.

Earlier in January this year, Mazhar Khan, a Pakistani official working in the Dhaka mission, had been expelled after Bangladesh intelligence accused him of funding Islamist radicals and peddling fake currency.

Two of the four JMB radicals, including Idris Sheikh, arrested at Uttara and Khilgaon in Dhaka on Nov 29, were found to be carrying Pakistani passports, said Detective Branch's Joint Commissioner Monirul Islam at a press briefing at the time.

Both these radicals had been travelling frequently between Bangladesh and Pakistan, he said.

Monirul Islam said Idris was in possession of a 'spy mobile', which he was using to communicate regularly with a foreign intelligence agent outside the country.

"He was regularly sharing information with that agent and was also in touch with a female diplomat based in Dhaka." The police officer did not disclose the diplomat's identity at that time.

In his judicial confession before Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abdullah Al Masud under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), Idris named Second Secretary Fareena Arshad as the diplomat he was in contact with.

The Pakistan High Commission did not respond to bdnews24.com's attempts to cross-check details.

Senior intelligence sources say another junior diplomat of same origin working in a European mission in Dhaka is alleged to have been involved in anti-Bangladesh propaganda.

Idris details

DB's Monirul Islam told journalists in November that Idris had visited Pakistan via India in 1985.

He married a Pakistani school teacher, Shahnaz Begum, in 1990 and settled in that country. A son, Mohammed Adil, was born.

In 2002, Idris contested national elections from Pakistan Muslim Alliance but lost. In 2007, he returned to Bangladesh and joined the JMB.

Monirul Islam said Idris, 49, had been to Pakistan 48 times in the past two years.

Idris told the magistrate that he had hailed from Chitolmari, Bagerhat and that his father, Kausar Sheikh, was no longer alive.

About his links with Pakistani diplomat Fareena Arshad, Idris said on return to Bangladesh in 2007, he had first tried his hand in garment business, but five years later, he switched over to air ticketing and visa processing.

That is when he first met Babul and then Kamal, who introduced himself as someone working for Pakistan intelligence.

Idris said in the judicial confession that he had run up a huge debt to Babul who had frequently booked tickets for him. Babul, he said, left for Pakistan at one stage and gave him Farina's contact number.

Idris said in his confession that Babul later told him that a man arrested for peddling counterfeit Indian currency in Dhaka airport was closely linked to Farina.

On return from Pakistan, Idris married again – this time Manowara Begum from a neighbouring village. He has two daughters and a son with Manowara.

Government sources said when Idris was arrested at Uttara, he introduced himself as a relative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

One government source said Idris had earlier been arrested on May 1, 2011 from the house of a top radical.

At that time, he was found carrying 47 passports and a case was filed with the Airport Police.

Idris said in his judicial confession that he got a ride from Farina in her car from Baitul Mukarram to Fakirapool and received Tk 30,000 from her.

An intelligence official told bdnews24.com that Idris had saved a foreign number in his mobile phone as his own.

That number actually belongs to a Pakistani intelligence official called Captain Asim, who is performing a crucial under-cover assignment based in an airport in Pakistan.

The phone Idris carried had the capability to record conversations of other people using malware.

Indian sources. Indian propaganda. The world doesn't care.

.
There's a reason Bangladesh is called a satellite state. I'm pretty sure the ISI has far greater things to do than anything in a Dhaka cafe lmao.

.
They are stupid .... already they blame us for rape and not this ... which is not true, not a single outside source said that, its all made up both cases .... people who cannot reason should be left alone.

As for the rape, it might be true. It is not that hard to pretend to be somebody so it is blamed on the pretender (pretending to be somebody), not the actual person behind the pretender (or actor if you will). Just do comparatively analysis on Azad Kashmir and Indian Occupied Kashmir. Which one enjoys the reputation of mass rape? Rape capital of the world? That should give you some clues.
