Police have arrested an army officer with 51 bottles of Phensidyl in Jamalpur.
Two other persons accompanying him were also arrested from a private car on the Roumari-Dhaka road in Bakshiganj early on Thursday, police said.
The arrested army officer was identified as Major Imtiaz Nasim. He is stationed at the Chittagong cantonment.
Maj Nasim was handed over to senior army officers, said Bakshiganj Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Nurul Islam.
Two others arrested were identified as 'Mamun' and Abu Sayeed. Police filed a case against the two under Narcotics Control Act, said Islam.
Police stopped the car heading for Mymensingh around 3.30am and found Phensidyl bottles inside it, the police officer said.
Nasim is now on leave.
After failing to secure their wives and daughters in the Pilkhana massacre and saving the country from Bharti malaun aggression it appears they have resorted to drug running.
