Bangladesh Army Chief in India

literal meaning of babu moshai is "gentleman sir" . i dunno why muslims feel offended due to this. but anyways , ur religion , u know better.
but if, a muslim calls me "mian", its cool with me.

On topic: I dont know how these visits are going to be fruitful in the long run when we have the border n water issues with bangladesh. unless these problems are solved BDeshis will never trust our true intentions (indifference). maybe baby steps are what is required as of now.

Yep, you got it.

Why do we need to have a military to military relationship with India? What do Bangladesh gain from this?

These high profile visits give opportunities to India to give these salaried officers a royal treatment and if anything it makes their whole outlook softer towards India.

I would rather like to see more military to military relationship with ASEAN+3 (China, Japan and South Korea) and NATO countries, but I fail to see what we gain from such relationship with India. Can any Bangladeshi with more knowledge please enlighten us?

Bangladesh wants to and will have good relationship with all countries of the world, but if Indians do not learn to behave and keep meddling in our internal affairs, like their support and backing of Awami League, Bangladesh can never have a normal relationship with India. As it is India is engaged in a covert war to turn and keep Bangladesh as a vassal state under India's control using Awami League. As long as India continues this line of action it remains and should be treated as a hostile nation, with whom our relationship should be limited to bare minimum at best.

At least photo sessions in uniform are fun!

I have heard all of your points again and again on this forum. So why don't the actual Army generals/ top brass follow it??
Are you guy's voices have no importance? Still Indi / BD have such a good relationship on a govt/ military level.

Correction: AL scums have a good master-slave relation with GOI not the military. Our military simply follows the official dealing of the gov. Military interaction with India only started after this scum gov came to power in 2009. I don't mind any interaction with Indian military up to the most basic minimum formal level and ishallah BD won't cross that minimum limit as your puppets won't be in power for long. Our army is still pro-BD and will remain so. :D

Good question. Govt. is Awami League, so I rest my case on this question. Military? They have to follow the elected govt. in power. But you do not know what is in their heart. Do you think no matter how well you guys treat people like IKB, they will be on your side, when they have to choose between pro-India camp and pro-Bangladesh camp? Don't forget these people are our relatives, kinsmen and at least countrymen. Who do you think they will choose?

PDF is a neutral venue, we analyze events and voice our opinions, mainly to make Bangladesh populace more informed. Once we have a more informed electorate and masses, then it is up to the people to make up their mind about what to do on certain issues.
