Indeed claiming Bihar as Bengal is bogus. However, many parts of Bihar (including Jharkhand too here) are still ethnically Bengali. Kishanganj district and adjacent districts are inhabited by people who speak Surjapuri language, which is a dialect of the wider Rangpuri/Rajbangshi language spoken in North Bengal which can be considered a dialect of Bengali (just like Chittagonian is for e.g). Similarly, the erstwhile Singhbhum region in Jharkhand is also majority Bengali.

I hope that in the future these regions can be attached to the State of West Bengal just like the former Birbhum or current Purulia district was.

Thats just two districts though bro. So only Kishanganj and Katihar can be considered majority Surajpuri speaking and they are indeed ethnically Bengali however they are on the Far East.

Purnia district has some Surajpuri speakers but the western part of Purnia is Maithili/Hindi majority. btw I agree, they should leave Bihar and be incorporated into WB. There's a river that runs through Purnia district that's considered the border between Bengal and Bihar but I can't remember the name.
