Bangladesh Airforce inviting tender for 8 MRCA

Your issue with Myanmar is quasi-religious and demography oriented which is loosely tied to ideology.

The possibility of a war between the first two is much more remote than you and Myanmar.

We dont have any beef with Burmese. Its their own internal disturbances. And I dont think its anything to do with ideology. Infact there is no defined ideology in Myanmar. Its just lack of civilization.

There will be no war between Bangladesh and Myanmar. They will never dare to attack us. Thats bottom line. We never attacked them in the last 5000 years. Its very difficult to invade them due to Arakan mountain. Even british had to attack them in Yangon by navy.

There are 1000 times more chances of war within sub continent than with Burma.

It said the source came from Bangladesh meida, has not been confirmed.

Delegations from CAC and CATIC has just concluded their visit to Dhaka for supplying J-10Bs, deal has been signed.

But no official confirmation. Only the rumor. Right?

China will sell them but they will be water down ones in terms of performance which PLAAF use, this is how world defence industry works.

You have just been shown the J-10Bs will get all weapon systems available. Now how is it water downed?

If so then there should have been as announcement from both the Bangladeshi and Chinese Govts. as well as CAC. Fighter jet sales are never rarely kept in the dark.
But there has been no announcement yet.

They will be announced in due time.

Obviously, it's a G2G deal, official confirmation will come late.

may be negotiation is still going on

First of all no western country will sell us awacs or a2a, a2g weapons, nor we have that kind of money or the willingness to buy them.

Yes, they can be modified to fire Matra magic missiles .

Also BAF's own technicians are capable of carry out various kind of modifications themselves. For Example BAF used American helmets on F-7, BAF technicians carried out modifications to enable the aircraft to support those helmets.
Another example is BAF's older Mil Mi 17 helicopters were retrofitted with French communication systems from Fuga majister trainers. Once a com onboard a mi 17 broke down. Due to spare shortage, techies completely replaced with a com system from an old fuga majister. They realised it work better than the original, so they replaced all of the com system of all mi 17 with the Fuga majister's com system.

There is comprehensive solutions available. For instance recently inducted Type 56 corvettes were integrated into BN's Combat Management & integrated network which is a Thales designed system. Type 56B carries an datalink equivalent to western Link 16.
China already had link16 sinc late 1980s. We had a honeymoon with USA once back then.

may be negotiation is still going on
It will take some time. It's the first time FC20 get exported, so lot of thing need to be well prepared.

We will see it flying BAF's color within 2 or 3 years after signing the contract.

Possibly.
The main difficulties in getting the J10 I think will not be in acquisition but in the setup of maintenance and overhaul facilities to for a completely new type of aircraft which will be huge drain on your budget.

Seeing that the presence of Chinese engineers will be faced with stiff opposition from India, the extent of ToT being negotiated might be causing delays (If the CAC presence in BD was for negotiations, they might have been there for just a sales pitch for J10 or to discuss a different platform entirely)

Its best we wait for official announcements. I predict Mig-35 vs. J10B for the Bangladeshi MRCA.

Well, there is already a presence of Chinese engineers as we have received ToTs for naval equipment. Plus we do have overhauling capabilities for F-7s.

The MRCA tender for twin engine jets and procurement of J10Bs are different. J-10Bs will be procured to replace the aging fleet of f-7s. While Su-30s are for maritime strikes and long range missions.
